About 佛说盂兰盆经

《佛说盂兰盆经》，梵名 Ullambana-su^tra。全一卷。西晋竺法护译。又称盂兰经。属方等部经典。收于大正藏第十六册。内容记述佛陀之大弟子目连，因不忍其母堕饿鬼道受倒悬之苦，乃问法于佛，佛示之于七月十五日众僧自恣日，用百味饭食五果等供养十方佛僧，即可令其母脱离苦难。依本经之说所行之盂兰盆会，已普遍流行于我国民间，而有益于民间之孝行。宗密之盂兰盆经疏，即强调本经特具孝子报恩之思想，与调和中国人伦与佛教间关系之性质。
