生男生女预测表也叫清宫表。清宫表据说已有300年以上的历史，当时珍藏在清朝宫庭之中，由专设的宦官保管，轻易不得示人，清末，八国联军侵略中国，此表被掠至英国，流落海外，后来，我国的一位学者费尽周折得以抄录，1972年，该表的一位拥有者不忍独享，将它公之于众。

功能
清宫表年龄以受孕时的虚岁计，即当时的周岁再加一岁，列于表的竖列（从18到45岁），排于表的横行（从1月到12月）。母亲虚龄与受孕月份的交叉处即显示为胎儿的性别，以达到预测胎儿性别的效果。
