This is a 5.0 update that adds YouTube ad blocking in Safari on iOS 15.
Safari Web Extensions are a new feature on iOS 15. It allows us to perform more advanced content blocking that the original Safari Content Blocker API doesn't provide.
Our new Web Extension, called 1Blocker Scripts, is optional, has no interface, and its only purpose is to perform advanced content blocking. We are starting with YouTube ad blocking, and we will expand its functionality over time.
You can activate the new Web Extension in Safari by tapping "aA" → Manage Extensions. Make sure to give it access to websites. Alternatively, go to the Settings app → Safari → Extensions → Scroll to the bottom → 1Blocker Scripts.

1Blocker version 3.1 brings various small improvements, adds Click Mode to the Visual Editor, and includes an updated set of rules.
When you use our Visual Editor to hide a webpage element in Safari, you can now temporarily disable selection by activating Click Mode, which lets you perform click actions. For example, you can activate Click Mode to log in to your account, navigate to a different page or open a menu before selecting elements to hide.

Even when we’re quiet there are many things moving and changing. Thank you for being so patient.
This update adds partial whitelist — a feature many of you waited for a long time. It allows you to configure each blocking category for a specific site and do things like unblock comments and ads for a site, but leave trackers and other content blocked. This feature was asked by many advanced users and it adds further flexibility to the app.
Speaking of whitelist, it is much faster now to add a site to the list (up to 25% faster in some cases).
Of course, we also updated our ruleset and fixed a ton of sites. Thanks for all the reports you sent us!
Last but not least, this update contains many tweaks that make the experience so much better.
