About Accuware Indoors
This is the app for anyone interested in experiencing high-accuracy indoor navigation. You need only a handful of iBeacons to use Accuware Indoors. You can set up your own "playground", where you can see the app's ability to pinpoint your phone or tablet. Setting up your very own evaluation site anywhere you want is done in three steps:
1.select the site and place your iBeacons in it
2.train the site
3.and the app is ready to pinpoint your location and display it as you move about.
Training requires defining a path through the site, and then walking that path from beginning to end without stopping, while the app scans ambient signals to build a data set. Augmented by the device's internal sensors, this data will enable estimating your device's position.
You may set up your evaluation site in an area where iBeacons are already deployed. Their placement may affect the location accuracy you experience, but if the signals are plentiful, it may be worth a try.
What is the ideal placement of the iBeacons? In a grid pattern, roughly 30 feet (10 meters) apart.
How do you train the site? Follow the instructions you will find on our support site (See Support URL).
