About AFCPI

The AFCPI mobile app demonstrates the tools and methodologies used while conducting training, and facilitating a continuous process improvement event. It is a reference resource to the many different tools, definitions, and acronyms used while performing facilitation and leading teams through the Air Force Practical Problem Solving Model to identify and eliminate waste and variation in processes. It focuses specifically on the interactive use of multiple facilitation and problem solving tools primarily identified in the AFCPI Playbook with the ability to input data into applicable tools and produce an output (results).

The majority of information centers on the Air Force Practical Problem Solving Model with content that includes a glossary of terms (as listed in the AFCPI Playbook), description and use of tools and methodologies, and information related to Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Business Process Reengineering. A comparison of the Practical Problem Solving Model, DMAIC, and PDCA is included. Detailed content thoroughly addresses the applicability and content of the USAF 8-Step A3 Certification Rubric, and interactive use of each individual step of the Practical Problem Solving Model.
