• Amex Pay with Points: Eligible American Express Card Members can now use their Membership Rewards points when completing a cash booking in the app. You’ll receive a statement credit from American Express for the dollar amount used in points.
• Menu redesign: We've cleaned up the look and feel of the app's secondary menu, including making it easier to access your Aeroplan profile settings. You can access the secondary menu by pressing the icon in the top-left of the 'Home' tab.
• Special edition aircraft: Special aircraft liveries, including the 'Fly the flag' Olympics edition, TCA 'Retro' edition, and the Calin Rovinescu signature edition can now been seen within Flight Status. More will be added soon! Can you find them on your next flight?
• Aeroplan balance and transactions: We fixed an issue that caused some members to see outdated points balance and transaction information. Version 5.10 of the Air Canada app includes mostly behind-the-scenes enhancements to improve the reliability and stability of the app. Among them, you'll most notably see:

• Booking calendar: Our date selection calendar is no longer stuck on October 2021, and you can now book up to 353 days in advance again.
• Boarding pass updates: Your boarding pass will now automatically update if you've made a change to your check-in using the app, like purchasing an upgrade, or selecting a different seat.

• Introducing 'Home' tab: Your new Air Canada hub where you'll find relevant and contextual information for your upcoming trips. This is our first iteration, and based on your feedback, we will be expanding on the content and experience in upcoming updates.
• Seat map preview: See seat availability and aircraft layout before you buy or fly. Now accessible while making a booking or anytime within Flight Status, the seat map is back with some enhancements including full-aircraft view. In a future update, we'll also offer the ability to select seats within the app - stay tuned!

• Saved Payment Methods: You can now use your saved payment and billing information from your Aeroplan account in the app. Manage your cards from the Aeroplan tab > 'Payment methods' menu.
• Face ID and Touch ID: Before making a purchase with your saved payment card, we'll ask you to confirm your Aeroplan account password. To make this easier, you can now enable Face ID or Touch ID from Aeroplan tab > 'Password and security' menu to use your face or fingerprint instead.
• Manage Check-In: We've added a button on your Trip details screen to quickly return to check-in, so that you can add an extra bag, change your seat, or standby early - quickly and easily.
• Boarding Pass List Improvement: The list of boarding passes has been re-ordered, so that your upcoming boarding passes appear at the top of the list. On your day of travel, your boarding passes are still quickly accessible from the bottom of each tab of the app.

• We've reintroduced the Altitude Digital Card. In addition to viewing the card in the 'Aeroplan' tab, your priority contacts are also now available from the 'Customer support' section.
• NEXUS card is back. Save your NEXUS information to your saved traveler profile, and have it automatically added to your check-in to/from the United States.

FIXED
• Resolved an issue which prevented the 'Check-in' button from appearing on the 'Trips' tab. The button should now appear when check-in opens, and disappear once everyone is checked-in or check-in closes.
• Addressed an issue which prevented access to the 'Boarding Pass' directly from 'Trips' for some customers. The boarding pass is now available right from the 'Trips' tab, at the bottom of the screen.
• We also tidied up a bunch of bugs to improve the performance and stability of the app.

IMPROVED
• Improved the reliability of bookings automatically retrieved by Aeroplan. This should resolve the issue of bookings disappearing, and also allows for redemption bookings to be automatically retrieved and saved.
• Customers without a booking saved in the app can now use their Aeroplan number to check in from the 'More' tab. Your booking and boarding pass will be saved automatically after check-in.
