About Airallergy

The main target users of Airallergy are allergic people and physicists. This application allows them to get an official confirmation of the presence of these allergens in the air and their concentrations, in order to adapt the diagnosis and/or the treatment prescription. The network includes five stations spread over the country. They are located in Brussels, De Haan, Genk, Marche-en-Famenne and Tournai. Brussels station’s data are updated every working day. These collected in the four satellite stations of the network are updated once a week, usually on Tuesday. The pollen concentrations are monitored from January to the end of September, whereas fungal spore concentrations are monitored until the end of November.
Airallergy allows to:
- follow the evolution of the pollen season for many allergenic trees (birch, alder, hazel, etc.) and herbaceous plants (grasses, mugwort).
- use optional geolocation in order to display the data from the nearest station.
- to have an overview (digital calendar) of the critical periods that are usually observed in Belgium for pollens and fungal spores.
- to have information about allergenic plants and molds (description, flowering or sporulation period, role in allergies, etc.).
