Maria e David são a Patrulha Alfa. A sua missão é observar os acontecimentos históricos que marcaram a história dos seguros. Um dia enquanto observavam o grande incêndio de Londres são surpreendidos por robots gigantescos que ameaçam criar mais caos à sua volta.

Maria e David estão acompanhados pelo seu robô voador Alcid que lhes vai dando dicas. Alcid é para além de andróide assistente uma máquina do tempo que transporta os nossos heróis entre as épocas. A aventura começa quando um dos elementos da Patrulha Alfa é raptado!
