With this update you can now grant AnyFinder access to your OpenStreetMap account. At the moment this allows you to see the user data of a place of interest. In the future it will enable you to edit existing and to add new places to OpenStreetMap. We have also updated how you consent to personalized advertisements in the free version of AnyFinder and fixed a few bugs on the way.

Thanks for your great feedback to our updated map screen. We love your suggestions and have polished our map even further: The bottom panel can now slide up and down, the right hand buttons are spaced out a but and centered on the visible part of the map. On larger screens the bottom panel now floats on the map.

This update brings support for the emoji set of iOS 13 to the app. This means that either collections or properties of places can now have an emoji as an icon. Or to say it in plain language: We're going to show you juicy pictures of hamburgers and pizza soon! (Please note that on iOS 12 some icons can be missing if they were newly introduced in iOS 13.)

This update mainly improves the handling of universal links: You can now link to a place in AnyFinder just like you link to a place in OpenStreetMap. All you need to do is change the domain name in the URL from "www.openstreetmap.org" to "anyfinder.info". So if you want to see the Eiffel Tower in Paris in AnyFinder, you can just link to https://anyfinder.info/way/5013364. When you click this link on your iPhone or iPad, the AnyFinder app will open and show all the info it has about this world famous tourist attraction. We also optimized the app startup sequence in this release and fixed some annoying bugs.

This update greatly improves image loading and with it the overall feel of AnyFinder (did I hear anyone say "lightning fast"?).
We also slimmed down the memory footprint of the app, once again optimized syncing of new collections from our server and added support for some new OpenStreetMap tags.
If that's not enough, we now also support navigating to places using Google Maps if it is installed on your device.

・You can now toggle the reference point for distance and bearing information between your current position and the last search center. After launching the app this will be the same, but you can move the map and tap on the "reload" icon to search around a different point. Previously distances to places were always relative to your current location.
・Selecting a place from the list of places now centers the map on the selected place and shows the info bubble. You might need to zoom in a bit to see the bubble if places are clustered around the center.
・AnyFinder now shows if places have takeaway food, cash points/ATMs, toilets, wheelchair accessible toilets and on which floor or level they are located (like in a building or subway station)
・While we were implementing these new features we found some virtual bugs on the way and squashed them. Ouch!

- Links to websites and email addresses were not working after the last update (sorry for this!).
- List of raw tags was cut off at the bottom in rare cases.
- Search bar in list of places is now hidden by default and will only appear when the list is pulled down (standard iOS behaviour).
- App crashed when there were no places found during a search and the empty list was resorted by a user (thank you for reporting this!)
- Status info about a currently running search was hidden by advertisement in the free version of the app.

- Private collections of places in the AnyFinder database as well as the import feature of places into private collections in the AnyFinder database have been disabled. This is due to the vote of the European Parliament on March 26, 2019 about a new copyright directive. Currently we do not see a way on how to legally support this feature once the directive becomes national laws. At the same time we do not want to charge you for a feature now that we need to remove in two years time. Once the legal situation becomes more clear (especially for smaller platforms), we might reactivate the feature again. If you have questions about the directive, please contact your sitting members of the EU parliament. Creating your own public or private collections with data in OpenStreetMap is still possible and supported.
