About Braille Tap
Welcome to the Braille Tap Keyboard!
This keyboard allows you to type by indicating standard six-dot English Braille patterns for characters, numbers, and basic punctuation.
Typing Instructions:
To type a raised dot, simply tap with one finger. Tapping with two fingers indicates no dot. For instance, to indicate the character 'A', tap once with one fingers and then tap five more times with two fingers.
There are a few gestures you can use to increase your typing speed. While entering a dot pattern you can swipe right to finish the character without the remaining taps. For instance, the character 'A' can be entered with a one-finger tap followed by a swipe to the right. Swiping to the right without any taps inserts a space.
Swiping to the left will either cancel the character being entered, or will delete the previous character if no taps have been entered.
Swiping up one time will upper-case the following character. Swiping up two times will engage caps-lock.
Swiping down will disengage the caps-lock or cancel the capitalisation of the next letter.
To enter numeric digits, first tap the dots for the pound (numbers) sign. This will put the keyboard in number entry mode and any desired digits can be entered. Swipe down to return the keyboard to letter entry mode.
