IFFCO Kisan Urban Greens is a customised mobile app for all gardening enthusiasts to help one grow their own vegetables & fruits in urban areas.The app has been created to guide people who are interested in gardening and organic farming on their terrace, by offering them recommendations for growing flowers & vegetables based on the soil condition, temperature, location, water requirement, sowing & blooming calendar etc., with an option to speak to subject matter experts, in case any additional information is required.

Key features:
MY PLANT NURSERY – This section contains a list of plant / flower nursery which are geo-tagged, enabling the user to track all the plant / flower nurseries nearby through a simple click on map. Plant / flower Nurseries across the city are geo-tagged with their basic details such as location, contact details, type of plants grown etc. captured for the benefit of user. The section will be further enriched soon with each of the dedicated nursery pages featuring latest trees, flowers, plants etc. & their package of practices.
GARDEN OPERATIONS – This section contains guidelines on basic gardening practices, the importance and procedures of gardening techniques such as plant / garden potting, re-potting, self-pollination, composting, organic garden etc. and importantly, strong focus on do’s and don’ts such as ill effects of over watering and excessive fertilization etc. Also find, basic organic practices to prepare soil potting mixtures.
ASK EXPERT – This feature is driven by horticulture expert / plant, flower expert / garden expert who responds to queries of our users. The users can either write to us or share a photograph of their query in this section. Image based plant, flower identification & cure to their related disease also provided.
ONLINE STORE – In this section we have classified different plants based on their type, characteristics & uses and based on their location which would be suitable for the plants. Here, the user can shortlist the plants by adding them to their wish list. Enrich your garden with beautiful indoor & outdoor plants from our store.
YOUR WISHLIST – This section contains all the plants shortlisted by the user for future reference. The selected plant details & special updates on the same will be emailed to the respective users & empanelled nurseries as well. In-case the user wants to source / procure the plant, the platform offers details of nurseries who can ship the plant.
EXPERT ON CALL – In order to handle the queries of the users we have an expert who is dedicated to handle the helpline. The users can directly call on our helpline number for expert guidance in gardening.
YOUR PLANT STORY - This section provides an option for users to post their gardening story, which is shared among the community of gardeners. We also invite feedback from our users here.
POST YOUR VIDEO – This section provides an option for users to post their gardening story, blogs, plant images & videos which is further highlighted on other social networking sites to create visibility & more importantly to encourage everyone to grow plants and organic vegetables and fruits.
SEASONS RECOMMENDATIONS - Based on the on-going season, our experts recommend plants which can be grown/ planted.
