About iPage
iPage is an application for sending text pages to alphanumeric pagers right from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. iPage supports importing contacts via email, the web, or iTunes file sharing. Contact files must be formatted as comma separated files which can be made from any major spreadsheet application. Instructions are included in the application's 'Info' tab under FAQ.
Contacts can be labeled as 'Favorite' and viewable from a Favorites list for quick access. The general Contacts list has search and index features. There is also a way to send text pages to a number without having to enter it in the Contacts List via 'Ad Hoc' paging.
Contact and Favorites lists can be exported as a CSV file for sharing with other users or as a backup.
iPage requires a WiFi or cellular connection and is compatible with systems that uses SNPP. The app comes preloaded with these carriers: Cook Paging, USA Mobility Paging, Aquis Communications, American Messaging, Critical Alert Systems, UCOM, and TeleTouch. Carriers that have been added to the update list include: Contact Wireless, K and K Communications, Central Vermont Communications, Dial Communications, Gabriel Wireless, Indiana Paging Network, PagePlus Oklahoma, and Schuylkill Mobile Fone. In rare cases, some WiFi networks block port 444 which is required for SNPP paging.
Compatibility issues:
Version 1.1 and greater is only compatible with iOS7.
DISCLAIMER: This application is not intended for use in any situation where a delay or message failure may result in harm or loss.
