About TypeScouter

The TypeScouter retrieves data from existing Nightscout enabled websites. Nightscout is an open source community to help people with diabetes. Visit nightscout.info for more about nightscout project.

This app is the result of some studies about data visualization. I am a designer and father of two kids with Diabetes. I developed this app because I beleive that good data visualization can help people to improve the glucose control.

The TypeScouter has three principal functions: monitor the glucose levels, analyse data from recent glucose annotations and play a game that uses users glucoses annotations as a input.

The data visualization aproach is to people that are not expertise in graphics, math or statistics. It is to ordinary people that just want to know the basics about their glucose.

The game is to motivate people to keep their glucose under control.

I hope that you enjoy this app and that it help you to better understand your glucose control.
