In the summer of 1893, Count Dracula fled Transylvania. Decades earlier, before his castle fell to ruins, before his people learned to fear him, a small village is about to receive a visitor…

Wallachia is an ongoing vampire novel set in 19th century Romania. New chapters come out every few weeks.

Vote in polls that directly affect the story in future chapters. Make sure you stay caught up or you’ll be stuck with whatever the rest of the readership decided!

* Added iPad keyboard shortcuts: The “[” and “]” keys will page back and forward. ⌘-W will close the current book. ⌘-T goes to the Table of Contents.
* App Privacy statement: The Wallachia app does not collect any information about you and does no tracking.
* Application badge counts should more reliably show how many new chapters there have been since you last opened the app.
* Removed the “What’s New” page now that 2.0 has been out for a while.

* Tapping the chapter you currently have open in the table of contents will now flip to its first page. If you want to close the ToC and keep your page, tap the “Resume” button at the top of the page.

* Sorting by date should now correctly use a finished book’s publication date rather than the date it was added to the database.
* Tidied up how the app decides whether to show a dot next to a book’s title if it has a new chapter.
* News pages now use the chapter’s text style rather than the system font.
* The "You’ve reached the end” page should now consistently move to the right place when a new chapter is published.

* Audiobooks for Wallachia have been removed from the app. They’re now available in the Podcasts app.
* The app now includes a selection of public domain "Essential Vampire Classics."
* New chapters of a classic serial novel will be released weekly.
*Streamlined the bottom of book pages. The bottom-right corner of each page now display the number of pages that are left in each chapter/section.
* New chapter notifications can be configured on a per-book basis using the bell icon in the book’s header.
* Every screen has been redesigned (though subtly in most cases).
* Page turns now animate with a fade effect rather than a simulated paper flip.
