Dip the entire strip into your pool or hot tub for a few seconds and compare to the chart on the bottle. The little pads on the strip react with the water, changing color in proportion to the concentrations all at once. After this step, typically you would need to find a dosing chart and perhaps a calculator to figure out what you need to do to the water to keep it balanced or sanitized so everyone can enjoy it again!
