Yeah, it's simple. BUT...

With four squares there are 24 possibilities. It gets harder as you progress, until you reach the inhumane Block 9 with 362,880 possible sequences.

Find the right sequence of squares. There's only one per level.

Tap on the squares (one tap per square). If you get the correct sequence you move to the next level. If not, try again.

You can also get hints to make solving the sequence easier.
