About Attendance (For Students)

Attendance is the only app that you will ever need to manage your school/college attendance and to keep up with it.

Features at a Glance:

- Organise your weekly schedule (time-table).
- Easily mark your attendance with "Today" tab where sessions are shown according to your schedule.
- Specify custom attendance limits for each subject.
- View overall attendance record and subject-wise attendance record in percentage and in more details like no. of sessions attended and no. of sessions conducted.
- Get smart suggestions on how many upcoming sessions to attend to keep up with your attendance limits for each subject.
- Get automatic reminders on sessions for specific subject according to your schedule and more.
- Get weekly attendance report with graphs representing multiple days for each subject.
- Visit history date-wise to view which sessions you attended or missed in a specific day.

Features, elaborated:

1. Setup your schedule (time-table) once, and you'll see your sessions according to that everyday on the "Today" tab to mark your attendance easily. Just swipe right to mark the session as "Present", left as "Absent" or partially swipe left and select "Class Canceled", if that's the choice. Else, just tap on a session and then select any of the three options.
2. Get notification everyday which reminds you to register your attendance record. You can even set a custom time for when you want to receive it.
3. Get overall attendance records and subject-wise attendance records as you mark your attendance daily. You'll see each & every detail, such as, percentage of your attendance, total sessions attended, total sessions conducted, etc.
4. Get smart suggestions to attend upcoming sessions. For example, if the attendance in a subject is low, then it will show the suggestion on how many sessions you need to attend to reach the minimum limit, or if it's high then it will show that for how many sessions it will be okay if you miss.
5. If you often miss sessions of a particular subject, you can set reminders for particular subject. Attendance will look up in your schedule and will remind you a day before.
6. Attendance will notify you to view your weekly attendance report every weekends. Just tap on the notification and you'll see various graphs representing attendance record for each day of your last week. Graphs for overall attendance and subject-wise attendance records are shown.
7. If you miss to mark attendance for some day, you can do it the next day by selecting "Yesterday" from the "Today" tab. This gives you a quick access to yesterday's schedule without looking up manually.
8. Your attendance is saved date-wise, hence tapping on "History" and then entering the date will show the schedule of that particular day along with what you've marked. You can even edit your attendance right from there, if needed.
9. If your academic year started months ago and right now you're at the middle of the academic year, you can initialise attendance record for each subject with number of attended sessions and total number of conducted sessions if you already have those data. This will help you manage your attendance record not from "zero" but from the value you provide.
10. Attendance comes with two gorgeous UI design options:
- The default mode, which has a beautiful, bright and colourful design.
- The Dark Mode, which has an elegant colour combinations of deep blacks and dark colours to match.

- A redesigned user interface which looks now more pleasing and is more useful.
- Redesigned Today view, where all the sessions are arranged inside separate bubbles. The bubble changes the colour as you mark it as present or absent.
- Tapping and holding any bubble in Today tab will directly open the attendance record of the corresponding subject, which makes it much easier to get attendance record.
- Now Subjects tab shows more information than before. To keep up with your attendance record for each subject, it will now mark each subject which require special attention. If your attendance is low on a subject, it will mark that subject with a red dot. If your attendance is about to fall below the limits, it will mark that subject accordingly so that you don’t miss the next session.
- Along with marked subject names, it will suggest you on how many sessions are safe to miss, how many sessions you need to attend to keep up if attendance is low, etc. right from the subjects list. Not only that, it will also show you the day where the very next session for that subject is scheduled right with the subjects list.
- Attendance now saves the whole history of your attendance record date-wise. Means, you can now access your attendance record for any date more precisely. From the Today tab, tap on the “History” button and enter the date for which you want to view your attendance. Entering the date will show you the sessions you attended and the sessions that were cancelled in a form of a proper schedule as you’ve marked before. Moreover, you can even edit that attendance if you want right from there. That changes will be automatically reflected to your attendance record. (All the attendance marked on version 1.10 or later are saved as datewise. If you’re updating your app from version 1.10 to 2.0, than attendance marked on version 1.10 will be available as saved. If you’re upgrading from earlier versions, attendance that you’ll mark on 2.0 will be saved and available for viewing. Though previous attendance are not saved, you can mark it date wise if you want).
- Now for the subjects where you see your progress is also redesigned. All the controls are brought down and are organised in a much better way than before. The options to delete the subject and edit the details of the subjects are now combined into a single menu of “Options”.

- The “Attendance Records” tab is now renamed to “Subjects”, as it now serves more purpose then just viewing attendance records.

- Now you can delete the subject(s) which are no longer needed manually without resetting the schedule. This can be done by selecting any subject from the “Subjects” tab and you’ll find a new “Delete Subject” option at the bottom.
- If the deleted subject is scheduled in the current week, those sessions will be assigned as “Free Sessions” and can be re-allocated with any other subject.
- Now you can easily view days and sessions on which a particular subject is scheduled. This can be viewed by selecting a subject from the “Subjects” tab. There is a new button just below the close button with a clock icon. Tapping on that button will view all the sessions assigned to that subject. While viewing this, if you want to perform changes to your schedule you can do it right from there by tapping on the “Edit Schedule” option.
- To make managing of your subjects, it’s records and schedule more consistent, the “My Week” option is now removed from the “Today” tab. This is now renamed as “Schedule” and can be viewed from “Subjects” tab by tapping on the clock icon. This will serve exactly the same purpose as “My Week” did, that is of viewing and editing your weekly schedule.
- The overall/subject-wise attendance record is now mentioned in a more natural language.

This will be particularly helpful when you started using Attendance a little while after your academic year had started. This will help you to initialise the attendance records to start using it seamlessly even from the middle of the year.
- To edit these details for each subject, just open the "Attendance Records" tab and select a subject for which you want to change the records. Tap on the "Settings" icon at the top right to edit the details of that subject. The two new fields will appear where you can edit the records of your attendance. You can not only use this just to initialise records once, rather you can use this anytime to manually edit the attendance record for any subject.
