In "Avoid Grandma," you take on the role of a new driver navigating a crowded, unpredictable parking lot. Your goal is simple: park your car successfully without colliding with anything. But there’s a twist—somewhere in the lot, a slow-moving but utterly unpredictable elderly woman, "Grandma," is wandering. She doesn’t follow set paths. She might suddenly stop to admire a flower, double back for her dropped scarf, or meander directly into your driving lane.
The parking lot is alive with typical hazards: shopping carts, tight corners, other vehicles, and stray pets. However, Grandma is your primary concern. Bump into a cart, you lose points. Gently tap another car, you’ll face a time penalty. But if you so much as nudge Grandma? Game over. A calm, disappointed voice says, "Oh, dear..." and it’s back to the start.
The gameplay is a tense mix of extreme caution and quick adjustments. The camera is top-down, giving you a clear view—but never enough to predict Grandma’s next move. As you progress through levels, the lot gets more complex, with more obstacles, poorer lighting (evening and night levels), and occasionally, more grandmas.
