The improvement on accessibility tools, such as electronic wheelchairs and walking aids, and the wide circulation of barrier-free information enable people with disabilities and elders to go everywhere much more easily. However, due to the physical defects, some people with disabilities or elders face a lot of problems in their daily lives and journeys.

Given the popularity of digital tools, Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth develops a “Barrier-free Travel Guide” mobile application under the sponsorship of Office of the Government Chief Information Officer.
