**Siri Shortcuts and Search**
- Create new notes on iOS with Siri and the beautiful sound of your voice
- Use Siri any time to search your notes, without opening Bear
- Go to Settings \> Siri & Search \> All Shortcuts to create your own custom Siri commands for Bear (and many other apps!)
- Two new Special Search triggers: use @date and @cdate in the search box to search by modification date and creation date, respectively
**Enhanced Header Linking Super Technology**
Tap or click on any H1-H6 header for a way to link to that specific note’s section from other notes. This is great for working across multiple long notes, creating a personal wiki, and so much more!
**Sync transparency for Bear Pro**
It’s 2018, but sync can still be hard. For Bear Pro users with sync, we’re making Bear more transparent about when it last synced and if there is anything causing trouble.
Bear will try to be clearer about what’s going on if there’s an error, whether it’s a Bear Pro registration problem, iCloud is out of space or not set up properly, a poor internet connection, or a good ol’ fashioned error.
Finally, if Bear ever runs into a sync conflict, it will now display affected notes in a “Conflicted” section in the Sidebar.

Tap the Editor with two fingers for our new Quick Nav to get around your notes more quickly:
- Tap to see a navigation menu to move to the beginning or end of the current note, or to the previous and next notes

Also: When you select a tag on iPhone and iPad, Bear now displays its TagCon (if assigned) in the Notes List header to remind you of the current tag you’re viewing.
** Hide Notes You Don’t Need ** This was another big request. Deleting old notes is sometimes too... delete-ish. But it also feels... analog-y to print them out. Now you can archive them! Archived notes disappear from the Notes List, but are still searchable in the Sidebar’s new Archive section.

We are _delighted_ to release Autocomplete, but we didn’t stop at #tags—it’s for notes and code, too!
* Start typing a #tag, and Bear will suggest existing tag names.
* Many popular tags now have icons in the Bear Sidebar so they are more identifiable!
* Link other notes or build a wiki by typing double brackets: [[ and then the name of a note. Bear will suggest notes for you to instantly link.
* Start a code block, and Bear now autocompletes commands from over 20 programming languages.
**A couple final goodies in Bear 1.4**
* Effortlessly swipe left and right on the Editor to hide and show the Sidebar and Note List.

- Highlighting: Give important parts of your notes that that special neon glow they deserve
- Quick Time/Date Formatting: We added new shortcuts for inserting the current date/hours in various formats, such as “4 Jul 2017, 10:21” and “4 Jul 2017” and “04/07/2017, 10:21”
- More Special Searches: Find all notes modified on the current day and the day before with new search modifiers: @today and @yesterday
- Remove a Tag From a Note: Sometimes you just need to part ways with a tag, though hopefully it’s amicable and you can remain friends on Facebook. Select the tag in the sidebar, then: Right-click the note and choose “Remove tag (X)”
