It also offers a missense change significance calculator which estimates the likelihood of a proteins loss of function based on an algorithm that assesses structure, charge and molecular weight of amino acids. The app also offers offers DNA Wizard, a sequence parser which translates DNA to codon triplets and then to protein sequences which can easily be used as search criteria for the BLAST tool. Bio-Toolkit also offers easy access to various gene variation sites as well as the UCSC genome browser for a more convenient way to conduct gene research all in one app without the need to reach for a search engine or filter through web pages.
