What's new?
• Listen to a book or read one? Why not do both? Turn on the audio in the background and follow the text in the reader – both functions work simultaneously.
What's fixed?
• The audio player timer had a hidden function: "Listen to the end of the chapter". But no more hiding! Now we’re putting it pride of place – clear for all users to see.
• The app no longer freezes when you add a book to the shelf.
• If you’re reading a book series without the Internet, and later go back online, your reading progress will be saved. No issues.
In addition to the worst bugs, we fixed a few more. They’re almost invisible, but you will enjoy using the audio player a lot more now. Thanks for the feedback!

In this new version we have improved the reader scrolling: Moving from one part of a book to another is now even simpler.
And now you can also freely bookmark what you read! If you’re in page-flipping mode, you can pull the screen up. If you’re in scroll mode, you can pull the screen to the left. All bookmarks are saved together with your quotes. To view them, tap the icon in the lower right corner of the reader.

The new version of Bookmate offers two new features: a dark theme and bookmark functionality.
To prevent your eyes from tiring when reading in dimming light, you can now choose to read light text against a dark background. Give it a try as the nights get longer! If your app is dark by default after the update, it means Bookmate has automatically set to the colour of your iOS. You can restore the usual background colour in the settings.
You can now add bookmarks to your books! Easily pick up where you left off with this handy feature. To bookmark a page in flip mode, slide the screen up with your finger. In scroll mode, just slide it to the left. Bookmarks are stored along with your quotes. To view them, tap the icon in the lower right hand corner of the reader.
