This week we are launching a new feature called Weekly Summary! Weekly Summary will help you stay on top of your finances by letting you look back at last week's spending. Think of it a bit like those 'year in review' things, except it's for a week instead of a whole year. Finally! USA & Canada users can now connect to multiple banks with Plaid as well as multiple accounts per bank (coming soon for Klarna).
In Tools -> 'Bank Connections' you can overview your connected accounts and their balances, and add additional banks.
If you've already connected to a bank, and want to add additional accounts from that bank, go ahead and disconnect then re-connect with the bank.
In addition to this, there have been bug fixes to the Widgets and a new app icon (by popular demand) is available from Tools -> Settings -> Select App Icon.

• Financial quotes widget - Many of you have already found the "easter egg" in the Transactions tab ;) Now those quotes can be brought out to your home screen as well.
You can then customize your widgets from within the app in Tools -> Widgets.
If you're not familiar with widgets, here's how you add them:

The Transactions filter has got an upgrade, along with specifying exactly which period you browse, you can now choose to exclude specific categories, accounts or budget members.
You can find the filter settings by pressing the "Period box" in the Transactions tab.
Filters are per budget basis - so you can specify exactly how you'd like to browse your transactions per budget.

Addressing a couple of issues and requests I've heard lately.
• Accounts were hidden in the accounts tab after removing a budget that contained all transactions for the account.
• Budget calculations for Daily budget & Projection had issues with savings and categories containing both income & expense categories.
• Scheduled transactions were not showing in the Overview unless other transactions were added. Fixed!
• You can now exclude "Other expenses" in your budget from the budget settings.
• Income transactions with savings category and transfers from a savings account were counted as expenses in the budget.
• Removed categories no longer show up as suggestions in your budget.

Thanks for reporting bugs, here are some fixes that I wanted to get out sooner than later:
• Deleting categories from your budget should now work as expected
• Transactions added on the 1st of April will no longer be shown in March. Bug or joke? ;)

A couple of fixes here and there.
• Changing currency on the iPhone will now sync to the Apple Watch.
• Fixed an issue that for some users, recurring transactions were not being added automatically when the due date had passed.
• Unbudgeted expenses in your budget are now pressable just as any budgeted category.
• By popular demand, budget categories now show how much is left to spend on each category instead of how much has been spent.
• The budget category detail page has got a slight design update to show how much has been spent on that category, and how much is budgeted for.
• Frequent categories section will no longer show deleted categories.
• Creating a category with the same name as a previous deleted category should now work properly.
• Removed functionality to drag & drop move categories between head categories as it was causing a lot of confusion.
• When leaving a budget, you will now be prompted with a warning before proceeding.

By replacing the standard keyboard a couple of issues will be fixed:
- Always support for double decimals without automatic rounding.
- If you have third-party keyboards that don't work with numbers things could get tricky.
- The iPad standard keyboard had characters that would make amount invalid and defaulting to 0.
I also think the new keyboard design is a little nicer and cleaner ;)

A couple of more things fixed, thanks all of you for letting me know!
• Some iOS 11 users were crashing in the Split feature.
• Biweekly budgets wasn't able to change start date for a couple of you guys, should be fixed now!
• Deleted categories can no longer be re-added, this was too confusing leaving people thinking they were still available.
Preview version:

Heya, this version contains a couple of updates to feedback requests I've received lately, maybe your favorite fix is in here ;)
What's new:
• Added more colors & icons to choose from when creating your own categories.
• Budgets can now be made with biweekly (fortnight) period.
• All category icons have been re-created in high resolution to take full advantage of the new iPhones Super Retina displays.
• Turkish language has been added!
• Design update of the budget settings view.
From this version on, Buddy is no longer available on iOS10, this way I can take advantage of all the new cool things that have been added to iOS lately.
Also worth mentioning is that the almost all server code has got a rework during the last couple of weeks to pave way for upcoming features!

As I’ve promised many of you, here comes that extra layer of security that you've been missing: Passcode Protection.
In tools you’ll now find a new item that lets you configure a 4-digit passcode that will be required to open the app. After specifying your passcode, you can also choose if you want to be able to unlock Buddy with your Touch or Face ID.

Wait, what just happened?
I'll tell you what, Kaching became - Buddy!
Don't worry, there are no major modifications that come along with the name change. It was simply time for a new name that represents the app better.
Out of thirty-so options, I chose the name Buddy because it has a friendly tone and sounds similar to Budget, but without stating the obvious.
Other than that, this version includes bugfixes from the previous version where editing categories got a remake. The app is now also available in Brazilian Portuguese & Italian!

Hey guys! As promised, you’ll now have more power over your categories.
You can now:
* Edit the default categories
* Choose the color of your categories
* Pick a custom icon or emoji for your categories
* Create your own savings categories
* Filter between expenses, income & savings in the category picker.
* Change the name of the head categories (sections)
* Move the default categories between head categories.
* New categories are now synced between your devices even if you don’t create transactions with them
To edit your categories, go to the Tools tab and press the categories item. You can also force press a category in the category picker to open up the editing mode.
Creating & Editing categories are both a part of the Premium subscription.

Big thanks to Chloe, Gavin and all of you who've helped me find and nail some really extraordinary and annoying bugs.
- Budget & transactions being deleted for some users when restarting the app is fixed.
- Removing the default budget entries in budget settings will now permanently remove them from the budget.
Many of you have been requesting the possibility to edit the default categories, choose custom colors and icons, and be able to create your own savings categories.
This is exactly what I'm working on right now, so hang in there, it's coming!

Bugs will not be tolerated in Kaching, ever.
Thanks to Daniel, Ronja, Evelina and everyone else who reported the latest mischievous little bugs through Contact in the Tools tab. It really helps me to find the root of the problem and get the fixes required out to you as soon as possible. Keep it up guys n gals!
Fixes:
• Export data format has been fixed for Excel (remember to import as utf8 format)
• The budget calculations in the top after scrolling down now works properly with budgeted savings.
• Fixed some visual issues in the budget overview
• After going through the start tutorial you now end up in Overview tab again.
• A rare crash on iPad when receiving a push notifications from a budget member was fixed.

Happy to hear that the new categories were appreciated, there's quite a lot of them now.
To make it quicker to find the category you're looking for, I've added a "Most frequent" section at the top of the category view. I hope you'll save a few seconds and put them to good use!

Some new stuff coming your way:
* Budget notifications - By popular demand you can now choose if you want to receive push notifications whenever a transaction is added by one of your budget members.
* Schedule transactions - If you switch the date of a transaction forward, you can choose if you want it to be added right away or scheduled for that day.
* QR-code invites - Inviting someone to your budget is now a lot faster. Kaching generates a QR-code for your budget that anyone can scan with their phone camera to join.
There’s been a lot of new users coming in the last couple of weeks, and I couldn’t be more happy about it!
For me, this means I get even more feedback, so here’s a couple of fixes for reported issues:
- All reported crashes has been resolved.
- Joining a group will sync all data right away without having to restart the app.
- Some users saw a black box instead of the icon when starting the app, no more.
- Untranslated text has been fixed (gift category etc)
