About Callthentic
Callthentic prevents unwanted calls to your iPhone. It compliments the new iOS 13 "Silence Unknown Calls" feature.
Our unique system provides multiple levels of protection against spam calls. Callers not in your phone’s contact list are presented a key press request that must be entered for the call to complete. This prevents unwanted robo dialer and spam calls without having to deal with a voicemail box full of junk messages. If the caller exists in your contacts, the call is sent through normally. Your contacts won’t know you are using the best spam call protection app available.
For any calls you do not answer, we provide voicemail with automatic transcription. You can access the voicemail within our app, and you will also receive a text message of the transcription.
We only manage your inbound calls, as your outbound calls will be made from your phone as normal.
The app can quickly be disabled or enabled easily on the settings screen. This app does require a data connection (LTE or Wifi) to process non-contact calls.
The app requires call forwarding from your phone. Depending on your iOS version, the call forwarding may be either conditional or unconditional. In iOS12, our app uses unconditional forwarding and handles all inbound calls due to the call feature limitations.
We do not rely on the typical methods other apps have used to prevent unwanted spam calls such as a blacklist or whitelist. That method no longer works because numbers change constantly. We simply divert calls that aren't in your contacts.
Currently supports users on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint in the United States. Now with support for Rogers and Telus users in Canada. Requires iOS 12 and higher.
