Dear Camera+ aficionados, we’re thrilled to announce the latest update to our beloved app, Camera+ 23.2. We’ve poured our hearts into refining the user experience and polishing the details, so you can focus on capturing the beauty of the world around you. Let’s dive into the highlights of this release!

Captions: Snappy and Aligned
- We’ve made some delightful adjustments to the captions feature, offering a more precise and intuitive experience:
- Snaps and alignment buttons have been added to captions, allowing for pixel-perfect positioning.
- We’ve painstakingly fixed the font rendering in Captions for those particularly eccentric italic fonts like Zapfino.

Improved Zoom on High-End Devices
For users with iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro, we’ve got some good news! Camera+ 23.2 now supports 2x zoom in the auto and Magic ML presets, giving you even more flexibility to frame your shots.

Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements
As is tradition, we’ve focused on squashing bugs and optimizing performance to ensure Camera+ 23.2 runs smoother than ever. Our dedication to craftsmanship drives us to continuously refine and perfect your photography experience.
We hope you enjoy the Camera+ 23.2 update and continue to cherish the moments you capture with our app. We’re committed to making Camera+ the best photography app on the market, and we’re grateful for your support.

Love is in the air! And to celebrate, just in time for Valentine's day, we've launched our latest event featuring 3 new romantic filters that perfectly showcase your feelings. And for a limited time, applying these filters as a free user will allow you to save your edits, without going Pro!

We also love segementation. We love it so much that after releasing it in the last version, we decided we weren't quite done with it. Now instead of choosing each adjustment on a per segment basis, each segment can have it's own full set of adjustments. So if you want to enhance the detail of your loved one's smile while simultaneously fading out the background details, now you can. Call us perfectionists!

Finally, what do people love saving almost as much as money? Time. And we aim to save you lots of it with our new customizable camera presets. Have you set up your camera perfectly for a shot you take over and over again? Save the settings and start there every time you return to the scene. Not only can you save photo settings like focus, exposure, and white balance to your preset, you can also save the state of viewfinder settings like focus peaking, clipping, and histogram.

Thanks again for using Camera+, we truly love all of our users. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions to share with us please drop a note to support@latenitesoft.com or you can always get in touch with us via the in-app bug reporter.

Following up on the complete re-write of our photo editor in Camera+ 22, we have now completed the transformation of your photo editing experience by also re-writing the RAW Lab (used to develop RAW and ProRAW photos) with the same new intuitive interface, and even adding a few more options to tweak!

Additionally in this version, we’ve taken a few flagship features from iOS 16 and incorporated them into Camera+.

One of the most asked-for features ever has been a way to open Camera+ from the lock screen, so as not to take time opening your phone, unlocking it, opening the app, and missing a precious moment. We're happy to announce with the advent of the new lock screen features with iOS 16 that we've added a widget that allows you to put Camera+ directly on your lock screen, so that your favorite camera app is only a tap away at any time.

iOS 16 has changed the way shortcuts (or 'intents' if you want to be technical) work, and now allows us to do some things that we've wanted to in the past, but weren't able to. Here's a quick list of things you can use with the shortcuts app and Siri shortcuts now - all of these can be applied to both an image that you're looking at or the last image added to your Lightbox:

- Add a Caption
- Apply a set of Favorite Edits
- Apply a Filter
- Apply a Frame
- Apply an Adjustment
- Apply a Scene

With iOS 16, these shortcuts work even better and more seamlessly than before to further streamline your workflow.

Lastly, Live Text has gotten a few refinements in the latest version of iOS. We've taken the opportunity to add the capability to use it on images in the Lightbox. Simply touch and hold on some text in a photo, and you'll have all of the Live Text capabilities you'd expect from the Photos app, including the ability to copy, translate, track packages, make a phone call, and more.

We always welcome suggestions from the community. If there's a new feature you'd like to see, please don't hesitate to contact us via the in-app bug reporter.

22.2.5 2022-09-29
This version brings the possibility to launch Camera+ directly from the home screen thanks to the new iOS 16 lock screen widget. It also adds improved support for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, including taking 48 megapixel images in both the manual and ProRAW presets.

In 22.2 we're bringing you one of the top requests for Camera+ of all time, exposure bracketing. You can find the option to take bracketed photos in the "+" menu next to the shutter, for each shooting preset where it is available. Bracketed photos can be post-processed in a number of programs to emphasize highlights, shadows, and everything in between.

But that's not all! We've done some minor fixes to Volume Snap, so taking photos with your volume keys should now be more reliable than ever. We've also fixed some localization text issues, as well as fixed a few things for the upcoming release of iOS.

In this release we upgraded the Camera+ editor in the Photos app to the new editing experience, improved the captions interface, and fixed some bugs.

In version 22 we introduced:

New Foundations

We have rewritten a lot of the app to use the latest technologies, making it faster, modernized, and future-proof. But you may be wondering, what's in it for you? For starters, we have been able to redesign the editor, to make it much prettier and way more streamlined. For example, you can now effortlessly scroll through dozens of filters instead of seeing them in pages of 9 at a time. Layering effects and tweaking their intensities is now a much more intuitive and accessible process. And the new design is simply- gorgeous on iPad: you have a big editing area and a vertical toolbar to work with. We are really proud of all of these changes, and we think you'll enjoy the smoother, more effortless editing experience.

UltraRes: Capture Every Detail

Second up is our new UltraRes feature: it allows you to upscale your photos up to 48 Megapixels, which is 4 times what the native camera sensor can achieve. How does it work? It uses a lightning fast machine-learning model that we painstakingly trained on millions of photos, to teach it how to upscale images without making them blurry. Keep every detail in your photos, and don't ever be afraid to crop or print them! UltraRes is available both through a camera preset, and also as a new tool in the editor: you can apply it to any photo you've taken, even with the system camera.

Tweaks and Fixes

In addition to the usual bug-squishing fest we perform for every major release, we enjoy taking the time to throw in a request or two from our favorite people, you! The one we love most this time around is the live histogram in the camera screen, which you can enable through the tools button in the top left corner of the camera. This has been a popular request from our pro customers, but it can be very useful for anyone interested in getting better pictures!

The Fine Print

- UltraRes is available in devices with a neural engine (i.e., iPhone 11 or better, iPad Pro 3rd generation or better, iPad 9th generation or better, and iPad Mini 6th generation or better). This is because the process is much slower in other devices, and editing takes more memory than they have. Additionally, it will not upscale photos larger than 12 Mpx.
- Live histogram is available in devices with a notch and some iPads. We love how it looks in the phone's left "ear".
- Have a question, problem, or suggestion? Contact us via the in-app bug reporter, conveniently located in the menu, and we'll be happy to help!

22.0.5 2022-07-01
Version 22.0.5 brings back the flip crop button of the editor!

These are the changes for version 22:

UltraRes is available both through a camera preset, and also as a new tool in the editor: you can apply it to any photo you've taken, even with the system camera.

iOS 15, iPhone 13 and Apple Watch 7 adaptations. It's that time of year again. Time to sharpen your pencils, polish your apples, and fill your backpack for the start of a new school year. And that means it's also time for a new version of iOS. But don't worry, while we have you covered with upgrading to the latest and greatest iOS 15, we've done a bit of extra credit as well.

We've significantly sped up the process of starting the camera up and changing presets. We never want you to miss a single moment!

The Quality & Format and Save submenus, over the years, have become super streamlined and very short. We also thought it was now a bit confusing as to what belonged where. So we did the logical thing, and merged them into one super submenu called Quality and Save.

We've added a brand-new shiny widget that you can embed into any home screen, or the dashboard, to give you quick and easy access to your favorite functions, like simply taking a photo or a selfie, viewing your photos, and taking a macro photo.

We have several updates to do with RAW, the way it's handled and its ease of use. iPhone 12 users can now shoot RAW photos using both the Ultra-Wide lens as well as their front camera.

RAW is no longer a second class citizen as far as the Photo Library integration is concerned. You can now view your RAW smart album from directly within Camera+ 2.

ProRAW is now compatible with saving in TIFF format, and that option will be available to you via our aforementioned brand new Quality and Save menu.

And finally rather than saying "bug fixes and performance enhancements", how about we've "de-wormed our apples" of some issues like crashes in collection views and that darn manual white balance setting just not staying where we put it sometimes.
4.6.2 2021-01-07
In version 4.6.2 we fixed some minor issues. In version 4.6 we introduced:

New Shooting Mode Preset: ProRAW

If you're lucky enough to have an iPhone 12 under the tree this year, you can now take advantage of the incredibly advanced ProRAW format directly in Camera+ 2. ProRAW takes RAW capture to the next level by utilizing Deep Fusion to analyze multiple frames and produce the best photo possible. These images can be manipulated within Camera+ 2 just like regular RAW images.

Shortcuts

If you look deep in the toe of your stocking, you'll find that long pressing on the app icon on the home screen now gives you a few handy shortcuts. You can quickly jump to taking a regular photo, viewing your photos, taking a selfie, or a macro.

4.5.1 2020-10-02
Version 4.5.1 adds some tweaks and fixes some bugs.

Version 4.5 is our official iOS 14 support release. Since the initial release of Camera+ 2 we have focused a lot on streamlining and refining the shooting process. Today we're pleased to bring you an update focused on the editing side of things.

First off, all you filter junkies out there know that it's been some time since we've released a filter pack. That all changes today. I'm pleased to introduce the newest addition to our filter lineup: Social! Our resident social media guru, Rachel, has come up with nine stunning new modern filters for your editing pleasure. But don't take my word for it, check out this blog post where Rachel herself showcases each effect, it's inspiration, and some ideas for using them.

But we didn't stop there! One of the most requested editing features of all time has been a curve editor for quickly adjusting the tone and amount of light in your photos. Now you can find this shiny new tool in The Lab. (Disclaimer: No genies were harmed in the granting of this wish.)

Finally, for all of you out there who have secret recipes of edits that you like to apply to many photos, we're pleased to introduce the Favorites system. There are several ways to save and apply favorite sets of edits. While you're editing, you can tap in the top center of the screen to save the current edits as a favorite or apply a favorite set. Or tap a thumbnail in your lightbox, and then long press on Edit to reveal a menu that allows you to do the same without ever leaving the Lightbox! From the favorites menu, you can manage your favorites by deleting or renaming them. You can also preview what edits are applied as well as share your best favorites with your friends.

As always we've squished many bugs, and Camera+ 2 is now fully compatible with iOS 14. If you run into any issues, or just want to share a favorite with us, please send us a note through the in-app bug reporter located in the menu. We love hearing from you!

4.0.3 2020-08-05
Fixes a crash when selecting the slow shutter preset. Sorry about that!
4.0.2 2020-08-04
In this version we fixed a rare crash when reopening an edited file.

In version 4.0 we introduced Magic ML, which harnesses the power of machine learning to perform sorcery on your photos. It intelligently analyzes aspects of your photo that could be improved, and picks just the right amount. You can find Magic ML in the Lab, and with one touch, you can improve any and all of your favorite photos. Changes performed by Magic ML are non destructive, so you'll always be able to check the before and after, and revert back to the original if you wish. You can even take Magic ML edits as a starting point, and once you've seen what it came up with, tweak the settings to suit your taste and style.

Now I know what you're thinking. You've already edited all of the photos in your library, what you really want to do is improve your potential photos, pictures you haven't even taken yet. With Magic ML, you can do just that using our new shooting preset, that automagically enhances your photos as you take them.

It's easy to go on about how much Magic ML improves every picture and what a great job it does, but we believe a picture is worth a thousand words, and a video has got to be worth a few more right? So we've made a video to show you just how Magic ML works and to show you some of the results it can produce.

https://youtu.be/xRe5NGO0g7s

If you're interested in the technical aspects of how Magic ML works, and what went into making it, check out our blog post:

4.0 2020-06-03
As the creators of Camera+ 2, we're passionate about great photos. We developed Clarity to give you a one touch improvement to nearly every photo. Then we added Clarity Pro, which lets you control the amount and intensity of Clarity applied. Now 10 years after our initial release, we're incredibly proud to introduce you to the latest addition to your toolbox, Magic ML.

Magic ML harnesses the power of machine learning to perform sorcery on your photos. It intelligently analyzes aspects of your photo that could be improved, and picks just the right amount. We were enthused when we saw mouse support had surprisingly made its way into the latest version of iPadOS, so we had to add it to Camera+ 2 too! If you like to edit your photos in your iPad, you can now use a mouse to manipulate the controls. We can't wait to see how this "new" paradigm further evolves in the future.

We also included fixes and improvements for some of the latest issues reported by you. Thanks for keeping in touch!

Relive your happy moments and edit great photos. In this version we improved RAW editing for photos that reside in your library instead of the Lightbox. It also uses different icons in the Lightbox header so it's easier (and prettier) to know what collection you are seeing. And it squashes a few bugs, of course.

3.7.1 2020-02-06
In 3.7.1 we fixed an issue that could cause a crash while using the photo editor on older devices like the iPhone 5s.

In version 3.7 we mainly focused on quality improvements that make the app internals rock solid in preparation for upcoming features. Many design or presentation glitches have also been fixed, in our continous effort to achieve a delightful user experience. And as much as polish and engine are essential, we have also reworked the burst shooting mode so it is now much, much faster than before. We hope you like the changes!

Bug fixes and performance improvements.
3.6.1 2019-12-21
Here at LateNiteSoft, we love and cherish you, our dear photographers. While planning this update we decided it was time to show you just how much we care. So in the spirit of the season of giving we’ve taken requests from big to small and made them a part of Camera+ 2 specifically to delight between one and at least 50 of you. So sit back, stoke the yule log fire, grab some eggnog, and sing along with us to:

The 12 features of Camera+ 2

If you were expecting some sort of witty Partridge in a Pear tree joke here, we’re going to have to disappoint. (Seriously have you ever tried to come up with one?!) What we can give you is an easier way to read this, our release notes. Now release notes respect your system settings for text size. Awesome, huh?.

This feature was stolen by the Grinch. In its place we’ve stuffed a few old socks with bug carcas- I mean fixes. And some performance enhancements! :(

Have you ever been irritated when you tapped to zoom in and see the detail in a photo, turn your device to landscape to get the best view, and the toolbar doesn’t turn with you? Well someone was. Now no one has to be ever again.

If you thought we were done with the “Zoomed” view, you’ve underestimated us! Now you can take that one perfect shot out of the burst and move it to your lightbox.

What’s better than golden rings? Um actually that’s pretty hard to top. So we added some gifts for RAW aficionados. Not only can you export multiple DNG’s at once, but we’ve also added the ability to share your DNG’s with other apps.

If you’re an avid user of the favorite system, we have a little something under the tree for you! When you’re viewing your Photo Library from within Camera+ 2 you can now add and remove them from your favorites seamlessly. We don’t want to make this weird but Tod W. from Maryland… Wish granted buddy.

Sometimes the mood just isn’t quite right, and a bit of lighting makes all the difference. Enter, torch mode. We’ve given you a wheel to customize the brightness of your torch anywhere between 10 and 100%. So whether you’re roasting chestnuts by the fire or skating in the park, you’ll always have perfect lighting.

For anyone who finds a brand new gray card in their stocking this year, we have a gift to go along with it. Gray card support has been added to manual white balance. Use it to make sure your snow never looks yellow again!

Have you ever taken a burst and wished you could play that cherished moment back? Consider this the feature you never knew you needed. With a few taps, turn a burst into an animated gif(t) to share with everyone on your nice list.

Camera+ 2 is used by so many people for so many different types of things. From artistic shots to product photography to medical institutions to hobbyists, we're proud to appeal to a wide range of photographers and give all of you the tools you need to get exactly the shot you want. For all of you hard workers out there, Santa left an automatic date and time stamp under the tree for you.

Finally, you've come up with the perfect formula. The most closely guarded secret recipe for the perfect combination of edits to make every photo look more magical than a sugar plum fairy. Instead of copying the formula and pasting to each individual photo, you can now select multiple photos, and like magic, paste the edits on to all of them at once.

And finally, the grand finale, the moment you've all been waiting for. By far the most requested feature for Camera+ 2 is Apple Watch support. Or shall we say *was* Apple Watch support. For those of you with a shiny new watch this holiday season, we have a watch app covered in virtual tinsel to go with it for you. Actually it'll even work if your watch isn't that new (but not Generation 0, sorry...).

Well folks, that's it, the list is made, we've checked it twice. We hope you enjoy these gifts this holiday season and look forward to making your photography experience even better next year.

Happy Holidays,
The Camera+ 2 Team
3.5.5 2019-12-05
In version 3.5.5 we have fixed an iPad photo info layout issue and make some other minor tweaks.

In version 3.5 we introduced two new presets: Auto and Manual.

Auto mode is a nod to all of you out there who just want the best photo they can take, as quickly as possible, with little fuss. Sometimes it’s easy to miss that special moment when you’re fiddling with a control wheel and this mode strips away all of the distractions, letting you focus on the important thing, your subject. In Auto mode you won’t find buttons to expand into more controls, simply the EV wheel and if you choose to use them touch focus and exposure. Best of all, we use all of the cameras so you don’t have to. When you press the shutter button in Auto mode, we intelligently looks at each camera using criteria like light and zoom levels, and instantly choose the best one for the job.

Manual mode is more or less what we used to call “No Preset”, or the default mode of Camera+ 2. One notable change is that the camera switcher has been moved from inside the preview window to the bottom bar area just to the right of White Balance. All of the manual controls are shown by default in this mode making the option to do so in the menu obsolete. For our more advanced users this just means one less setting to worry about, and fewer taps to get to the perfect shot.

We’ve added a few minor changes and enhancements as well:

In all modes we’ve added more refined support for the third lens in the iPhone 11 Pro. We’ve stepped up our camera switcher game so that you can get to the lens you want in the least number of taps possible.

When you’re browsing your Photo Library from inside Camera+ 2 you can now see at a glance which photos contain depth data whether they’ve been captured in Camera+ 2 or not via the Portrait badge.

And lastly, we’ve squooshed a number of minor bugs too numerous to list here.

As always thanks for your continued support and appreciation. If you’re experiencing any problems with this (or any other update) please don’t hesitate to send us a note via the bug reporter in the menu.
3.5.4 2019-11-27
Camera+ and Camera+ 2 have, since their first moments of existence, been about balancing professional features with incredible ease of use. Over the years as iPhone camera technology and features have evolved this philosophy has remained constant and presented us with some unique challenges to view our interface from many different perspectives. In our efforts to continue giving all of our users the best experience possible, we’d like to introduce you to two new presets: Auto and Manual.

3.5.3 2019-11-23
Camera+ 3.5.3 fixes 18 minor issues, from occasionally starting at 0.5x in auto mode, to several portrait photo capturing and editing woes, including some incorrectly localized strings.

In version 3.5 we introduced two new presets: Auto and Manual.

3.0.3 2019-10-03
In version 3.0.3 we are fixing a number of issues, including the camera freeze issue that could occur on older devices when returning from background in iOS 13.

Also, in version 3 we added support for iOS 13 and its long-awaited dark mode, which looks amazing. For this new iOS version, we have added additional support to Siri Shortcuts, which makes Camera+ 2 a very powerful collaborative tool. Check out this blog post: https://camera.plus/blog/camera-2-introduction-to-shortcuts/ to get a more detailed explanation and some ideas on how to use it.

On the camera side we have added exposure clipping indicators, or zebra stripes. We have also improved portrait mode's ability to detect when your subject is a person in order to make it compatible with the iPhone XR. Please see the FAQ: http://camera.plus/faq for the full Portrait Mode compatibility list.

In the Lightbox now you have smart filters that allow you to see only those items that you want to deal with at a given moment.

Additionally, we made a video: https://youtu.be/rZdKzTt_cIw to showcase how photography has changed so much over the years, but the meaning behind, and passion for our photos has always been constant. If it resonates with you, please share it with your friends!

Enjoy!

2.1.2 2019-09-02
In Camera+ 2.1.2 we made further improvements and fixed several additional bugs, including an iTunes File sharing issue and a rare camera startup configuration bug.

Camera+ 2 version 2.1 is our summer quality-focused update. The most annoying bugs we fixed are related to the shutter and shooting modes (+) buttons not being easily tappable. This happened in devices that didn't exist when we launched version 2 (the iPod Touch 7G), but also in devices that did exist, but were configured to use Zoomed Display instead of Standard. That unexpectedly broke our layout engine. We apologize.

We've fixed and improved a lot of other things, like macro photos taking a long time to appear in your photo library; or a race condition that could cause the effects grid to be black. We have also replaced a too-distracting background gradient in the viewfinder when some manual controls were visible.

In addition to all the quality changes, we've taken the opportunity to add a handful of new and improved features. The ones we like the most are:

* We decided to add a scrubber to the zoomed view in the Lightbox, so you can browse your photos more easily.
* We now disable camera buttons that are incompatible with the current preset, instead of just hiding them. We think it works better for your muscle memory, and makes it clearer that some features may not currently be available, but they still exist.
* We made sure that we always use the developed RAW (instead of the camera-taken JPEG or HEIF) as your photo original whenever you use the RAW editor.
* We have improved haptic feedback in the camera and made it more consistent.

We hope you enjoy this release. Please, keep contacting us for any comments or suggestions you may have!

2.0.3 2019-05-24
In this release we added a scrubber to the Lightbox zoom view. In addition, we added a paste edits button to the copy & duplicate popover. We also fixed some bugs and crashes, and tweaked several icons.

In addition, our focus in version 2 of Camera+ 2, has been the camera itself. Your new camera is cleaner, clearer and more powerful than ever before! The new design gathers related items into three distinct categories: Presets, Shutter modes, and Settings.

Presets are instant settings to achieve a particular technique. The Action Mode Preset, for example, combines a fast shutter speed with subject tracking and burst shooting. Other Presets include Slow Shutter or Macro. Presets define _what_ you want to do, while Shutter Modes define _how_ you want to shoot. Burst, Timer, Stabilizer and Smile are examples of Shutter Modes. Settings, on the other hand, are just preferences about you like your camera set up, like the option to show the grid or the horizon level.

Presets, Shutters and Settings can be selected independently from each other. Some combinations may not be possible where there are technical limitations, but most are.

An additional advantage of promoting Presets to their own group is that there is now a button dedicated to this new category. We believe this will help you discover features that may be useful to you without having to master photography parameters like manually setting the desired exposure.

In this version, we fixed several minor camera bugs. We also fixed an issue with camera items not rotating correctly when device was rotated.

We believe the new camera in Camera+ 2 will provide a delightful experience, and it's also a solid foundation that will allow us to easily incorporate new features we have planned for the future. We hope you enjoy it!

In this release we fixed an issue saving portrait HEIF images using the photo editing extension, along with other minor issues. Thanks for sending us your feedback!

In version 1.6 we included the following new features:

Action Mode

They’re notoriously difficult to photograph, even harder to get to stand still, and always underfoot. I’m not talking about ghosts or your in-laws, but kids and pets! We’ve designed a special shooting mode to help capture those special moments-in-motion. Action mode does this in two ways. The first is our cutting edge focus tracking. Just tap your subject in the viewfinder and a yellow box will follow them around, keeping them in focus. When you’re ready to take the shot, hold the shutter button to get a burst of photos in rapid succession.

While we were creating this, we realized that if you use burst a lot scrolling through the Lightbox can get… long. So we came up with a way to organize and select the best photos from your bursts.

Burst Grouping

Both Action and Burst mode will now, when saved to the Lightbox, show just one thumbnail for each set of photos taken. Double tapping this group will bring you to a mini Lightbox within your Lightbox where you can do everything you would normally be able to do with regular photos: edit, share, save, and delete. You can even move your best shots to the top level of your Lightbox. And when you zoom in on a photo, we’ve added a scrubber at the bottom so you can quickly flip back and forth to compare similar shots.

9:16

What good is the perfect shot without the perfect way to share it? We know a lot of you use a vertical 16:9 format for Instagram stories. Now when you’re in 16:9 mode you can simply hold your device in portrait to take portrait photos or rotate your device to take a photo in the more traditional landscape orientation.
1.6.5 2019-02-26
Camera+ 2 version 1.6.5 fixes a crash that could happen when sending a photo from your library to the app. We have also fixed other rare bugs, like a situation that could lead to a crash when resuming from the background after having deleted pictures in the Lightbox. Another bug that has been resolved is the losing of metadata information, such as geolocation, after editing a HEIF photo directly from the Photos app, using Camera+ 2 photo editing extension.

We have also improved our bug reporting system, so if you do encounter a bug and report it, we should be able to track it more easily.

In this release we fixed a memory issue when using Photo Extension that could cause the extension to crash.
We also addressed some editor memory issues, particularly when pictures contained depth information and multiple filters, improving its handling in all supported devices.
Finally, we also addressed some other Lightbox issues, as reported by our users. Many thanks for those reports!

Finally, on behalf of the Camera+ 2 team I’d like to thank all of our customers for a great 2018. And once again, Happy Holidays!

1.5.1 2018-09-27
In version 1.5.1 we have fixed some localization issues as well as some bugs.

In version 1.5, we are providing support for iOS 12 and the new iPhone XS and XS Max devices, and adding some new features that we hope our customers will find very convenient.

## Compatible with iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max

Camera+ 2 is gorgeous in the new displays. All the advanced camera features you are used to (manual controls, RAW capture, dedicated shooting modes) work great in the new iPhones, and the extremely fast hardware makes it a joy to use.

## Siri shortcuts (iOS 12 only)

You can create Siri shortcuts for the actions you perform the most in Camera+ 2. For example, you can simply say "Hey Siri! Shoot selfie" instead of unlocking the device, launching the app, switching to the front-facing camera and tapping the shutter button. It's way more fun and significantly faster, especially when your phone is already at arm's length. It's also great when you don't want to touch the screen to avoid motion blur, such as when composing a slow shutter photo on a tripod. You can configure Siri shortcuts for the following actions:

. Shoot photo
. Shoot selfie photo
. Shoot macro photo
. Open camera
. Open the selfie camera
. Open the camera in macro mode
. View photos
. Edit the photo last taken
. Apply recent edits to the latest photo
. Save last photo

You can also use the iOS 12 Shortcuts app to combine these actions together and create voice commands that match your own personal workflow.

## Focus peaking

Let Camera+ 2 estimate what subjects in your frame are in focus, and forget the guesswork. This is especially useful for photographers that like to use manual focus, but also in lighting situations where the image in your viewfinder is not clear or contrasty enough. In order to enable focus peaking you need to disclose the manual focus controls. One way to do it is by tapping the viewfinder with two fingers, then tapping the square icon in the bar that appears below the viewfinder. Focus peaking is then represented by a cube icon that appears at the right of the focus distance wheel.

Focus peaking is available for both iOS 11 and iOS 12, and it's compatible with iPhone 6 or better.

## Configure your preferred save-to album in your Photo Library

Camera+ 2 is greatly integrated with the photos you already have in your Photo Library, so many people choose to ignore the Lightbox and simply shoot to the Photo Library and edit from there. To give those users additional flexibility, you can now choose what album you want to save to when you are shooting with Camera+ 2. Some people will use a specific Camera+ album until they decide the keepers among all the photos they shot, others might want to create event-specific albums before they even start capturing. And if you use iCloud integration, you'll appreciate that this setting allows better management and classification so your photos appear in a reasonable place in other devices.

## Copy, Paste and Undo edits in the Photo Library

Until now, those handy actions were only available for photos that you keep in your Lightbox. Starting with version 1.5, you can copy, paste or undo Camera+ 2 edits on photos that you already saved to your library. In order to copy and paste edits, you need to tap on the ellipsis icon (…) that appears in the Edits section of the detailed Info view.

## Configure your Launch Settings

There is no right or wrong way to use Camera+. Some people prefer it for shooting, others like its editing capabilities, and some prefer to shoot with their iPhone and edit in their larger-screen iPads. We have added a startup preference so you can select what section you want to see when the app first launches: Camera, Lightbox, Photo Library, or simply reuse the last section you visited. This only applies to fresh launches of the app - going to the background and resuming (or answering a phone call) will not take you away from the place you were in.

1.1.5 2018-09-15
Ensure portrait mode works correctly on iPhone 7 plus devices when running iOS 12.
1.1.4 2018-09-07
In Camera+ 2 version 1.1.4 we have corrected the missing EXIF exporting bug introduced in 1.1.3. Sorry about that!
We have also fixed a rare crash that could happen when manipulating the Lightbox recently deleted items.
1.1.3 2018-08-29
Camera+ 2 1.1.3 is all about quality and performance. We are very grateful to our nice customers who took the time to share their thoughts and experience with us. Please, keep it going so we can make the app the best it can be. The most important changes in this release are:

- Vastly improved the performance of thumbnail generation. Going from the camera to the Lightbox after a long shooting session no longer requires you to stare at a screenful of rendering thumbnails for half a minute. Your photos should be ready for editing or sharing almost instantaneously. All formats have been improved, but you'll notice it the most when using HEIF or JPEG. TIFF is a bit slower than the others - those files are huge and heavy to process.
- Increased the strength of the grid a tad more. It was still hard to see on top of certain backgrounds.
- Fixed Portrait photos not being saved in some situations, when the app was configured to save to the Camera Roll.
- Saving was sometimes generating a JPEG version of the photo even if the original was HEIF or TIFF.
- Fixed a long-standing bug in the iPad: a multitasking error was mistakenly presented to the user, if they had advanced controls configured to Always On. This one was hard to diagnose.
- Fixed scrolling of zoomed photos in landscape mode, in iPhone devices.
- Made sure that the icons in the multilayer filter interface always reflect the right preview.
- Added diagnostics code (and prevented crashing) for one report where the user was attempting to save a photo without an associated image. This doesn't fix the problem, but hopefully it will allow us to identify what the problem might have been.
1.1.2 2018-08-14
Many thanks for all your feedback. Thanks to it, in this release we have improved several areas:

* The camera grid is now more visible.
* The camera level now indicates when your are perfectly aligned.
* The camera to Lightbox transition is now smoother.
* When saving images, we now use sequential file names.
* Fixed timing issues of slow shutter mode.
* Fixed a crash when going to background while smile shooting was active.
* Fixed a bug with the zoom slider position when exiting and reentering the camera.
* Improve how the editor crop works when the picture has been rotated.
* Fixed the editor preview in the photo editing extension.
* Other minor adjustments.

Please keep writing to us!
1.1.1 2018-08-02
This is an update that fixes several bugs both in the camera and the lightbox.
1.1 2018-07-17
Camera+ 2 1.1 introduces two of the most highly requested features from our customers: access to your recently deleted photos, and migration of your Lightbox photos from Camera+.

What's in a Name?
A lot, as it turns out! And to cut down on confusion (both human and algorithmic), we've renamed the original Camera+ to Camera+ Legacy. We think this appropriately preserves the app's dignity in its old age.

Eco-Friendly Trash System
Photo file management in Camera+ 2 is much more efficient than it was in Camera+ Legacy, and was redesigned to support conveniences like integration with the Files app, and easy import / export through iTunes. If you've saved any edited photos to your library maybe you noticed that it's now blisteringly fast. In this release we're taking it a step further, and giving you access to your recently-deleted photos: browse through, recover anything deleted accidentally, or erase them permanently to reclaim space. Manage your Lightbox with total peace of mind: keep your best photos for sharing, and delete the rest with confidence. They're gone. Really.

Migration from Camera+ Legacy
If you love Camera+ 2 but didn't want to clutter your Photo Library with the contents of your old Lightbox, you can now easily migrate all your photos to their spiffy new home!

We have created a very convenient process to make it easy to copy your photos from Camera+ Legacy into Camera+ 2. Simply tap on the migration button that automatically appears or select the new migration option in the Menu. This will copy your photos with all of their edits intact into a temporary storage space deep underground (probably). Then Camera+ 2 will launch automagically and recover them all.
1.0.7 2018-06-17
In this update we improved a bunch of things:

- Taking portrait photos while saving to the camera roll now works as expected.
- DNG images do no longer look blurry when saved and previewed in the camera roll.
- The camera zoom control is now visible when you apply a 16:9 crop.
- Fixed the location map popup not working correctly on iPad and at times being in the wrong position on iPhone.
- Some additional Camera and Lightbox crashes are now gone!
- Many other small details and minor bug fixes.

Many thanks for using Camera+ 2!
1.0.6 2018-06-05
In this update we fixed several crash bugs.
