That task is for you to surgically tap the color coded stars before they leave the screen. Be careful though, as there are fast stars that agilely move from side to side and bombs that on first contact will explode and make you lose the game. Try to rack up points by tapping the stars before they leave the screen. Keep in mind that for each star you get they are worth one point each but, there is an exception.
