Cedar Bay Apps for IFS enables data capture into IFS throughout your business from Receipt of Goods, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Despatch and beyond.

The custom Cedar Bay server software sits alongside your IFS Applications instance and interacts with client applications on a variety of devices and we are pleased to now include iOS.

This app is compatible with the Bluetooth mini barcode scanner from Opticon (other bluetooth scanners should also work but have not been specifically tested).

Bug fixes for the integration with the Honeywell Captuvo sled for iPad mini. Ability to scan was being lost during a transaction if the iPad went to sleep. We now release our connection to the sled when the app goes to background (or the iPad goes to sleep) and re-connect when we come back to the fore (through app switching or turning the device back on).

Following feedback from our customers this new version simplifies selection of records from combo boxes. Instead of having to press select to confirm the value and then next to change page, pressing either select or next will perform both actions (* N.B. this only applies if the combo box is the only enterable field on the screen. If more than one field is on screen behaviour will remain as was : tap select to confirm value and next when ready to change pages).

Also, in conjunction with server side changes, the app will now request an image file from the server. If present, this will replace the IFS logo on the initial splash screen. This allows for an element of corporate branding, or to differentiate live and test projects etc. Talk to your account manager about upgrading your server side to enable this functionality (which is also available in the latest Windows client - contact us to discuss receiving an update for this also). This change is backward compatible with older server versions and a new default Cedar tree icon will display if no image is available from the server.

Fixes:
- On iPad devices, dropdown/combo boxes are a little larger to use the screen space better
- When device held horizontally the screen now scrolls up enough to keep the field being entered visible
- Hide a keyboard artefact (the copy/paste bar) when we hide the keyboard for a bluetooth scanner to work
- Improvements to how the app behaves when you change orientation of your iPhone/iPad
