App has been tested with the latest iOS 15.5 release

We're back to allowing both complete and incomplete registrations to show in your event.

Introducing our Signature feature. You'll now have the option to collect a registrant's signature at the time of check-in. Also, "Incomplete" registrants will no longer be included in events.

With this release you’ll be able to print badges even quicker now that we’ve removed the print preview screen.

Fixed issues related to the iOS 13 release

With this release, you'll be able to make our latest balance due enhancement configurable. Go to our Basic Configuration and simply toggle the balance due option on or off to suit your Check-In needs.

- With the latest release, we now check if an attendee has any payments due on the fly before successfully checking them in. If a payment is due, the attendee is alerted and is not checked in.
- As the validation is at time of check in, this requires online connectivity.

Bug fixes and improvements to badge printing (Brother QL-1110NWB).

We're excited to announce that we've completely revamped on-demand badge printing with Certain Check-In to improve the print quality significantly, particularly amongst Brother AirPrint printers.

In addition, this release contains numerous bug fixes and improvements.

PLEASE READ: The Certain Kiosk 4.5 release is for all customers that are running Certain Platform 5.12.10. If you are currently on Certain Platform 5.9.3, do not update to Kiosk 4.5. Please confirm your version of Certain Platform before updating or you may incur issues with on-demand badge printing.

This update contains important bug fixes for on-demand badge printing.

• Introducing External ID Scan: Starting with Certain 5.12.2, you can now use an “Advanced Format” barcode and select External ID as the field to scan instead of RegCode.
• Localization Updates! We’ve improved our localization for the Asian languages.
• Support for Min/Max answer values to questions.

*Localization*

We’re excited to announce the first phase of localization for Check-In and Kiosk. The app is now localized in ten languages: English, Spanish, Hindi, German, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. We are using Google Translate (and their powerful machine learning) to make this happen, so please bear with us on any incorrect translations. Feel free to email any translation suggestions to applications@certain.com.

Toggle walk-ins on or off per event.

*Multiple Check-Ins per Event*

Certain Check-In now allows for multiple check-in timestamps to be recorded for each registration. If you have a multi-day event, an attendee can be checked in multiple times and all timestamps will be captured. To report on multi-day check-ins within a single event, you can use the new ‘Check-Ins’ custom report type. And you can do the same across multiple events using the new ‘Check-Ins Across Events’ consolidated report type.

Last but not least, we are now offering pre-canned reports for check-ins. Reporting on single or multi-day events should be much easier.

Auto-Refresh:

If new attendees were registering for an event, they would not show in the Kiosk app without exiting and entering an event again. We are now introducing auto-refresh so new attendees that register are fetched without exiting the event!

Badge Printing:

If you create badges using the new On-Demand Badge Designer in Certain, attendees can now check themselves in and print their badge all in one go.

Survey Mode:

You can now collect twice the data for every attendee by selecting questions under Survey Configuration and enabling “Survey Mode” on the Kiosk to gather post-event feedback.

Alerts:

Ever been curious if a keynote speaker or a prospect customer has arrived at the event? With Alerts configuration, you can now trigger a text message alert when attendees check in using Kiosk. Create an alert based on the attendee type or organization, and you will be notified instantly upon the attendee checking in.

Required Fields:

Under Question configuration you can now toggle “Required” on for any question or profile field! When enabled, the app now ensures that an answer is collected for any questions marked “Required”.
