It's a good idea, though not required, to create a backup or export of your current journal before updating.
- Now remembers previous entry selections better (great for those with large journals)
- Reduced memory usage and faster scrolling
- Improved privacy screen
- Two bug fixes (one affected some users that turned privacy on, started to enter a password, deleted the password, and then exited the app; in that situation the app would lock the next time you tried to open it)

As always, consider making a backup (either through a sync or manually from within the app) before updating. Not required but never hurts.
