About CIB Jam Session

Dear colleagues!

Do you often have to improvise? We’re sure that you do. And we know for sure that there are plenty of opportunities to improvise if you are part of the CIB team. In the world of music there is such thing as a “jam session”. This is when jazz or rock musicians get together to improvise or communicate via music. They pick up and expand on a melody that will perhaps become a musical masterpiece in the future.

On Friday, July 8, CIB will hold its own Jam Session. We will dedicate this day to ourselves – to communication, joint work and relaxation. In short, it will be a joint improvisation. We will divide the day into two parts. In the first half we will create a space for work, where employees from different divisions of the CIB business from the Central Office and Regional Banks can discuss work issues. We will tell you more about this later.

On the evening of July 8, we invite all employees of the joint CIB team to meet at Space Moscow. There we will talk about the results of our work for the past half year, select and award the top teams, and together celebrate Sberbank CIB’s fourth birthday!

This year we have five Jam Session themed categories for which you can nominate your small or not so small team. In keeping with tradition, the senior management of Sberbank CIB* will select the best teams. If you think your team deserves to win one of the categories, you should provide an explanation that is persuasive, well-reasoned and creative. Only nominations with explanations will be accepted!

1.“Legendary Rollers”

The Rolling Stones are the oldest performing rock band – they started out in 1962! In addition, The Rolling Stones have one of the most stable line-ups.

The prize for this category will be awarded to the Sberbank CIB team where there is ideal interaction between team members.

2.“The Beatles – a Timeless Classic”

The Beatles are the symbol of an age and the benchmark for melodiousness. They significantly influenced rock music and are one of the most successful bands of the 20th century, both in terms of the music they produced and commercial achievement.

They could easily be called a showcase band.

The prize for this category will go to the top-performing team at Sberbank CIB, which has continuously delivered outstanding results over an extensive period of time.

3.“Innovative Rhapsody”

Queen is one of the most innovative bands. Their concerts have been recognised as some of the most exciting and interesting performances in the history of rock, and their videos became instant hits thanks to their innovative approach to editing and special effects. The success of the video for Bohemian Rhapsody inspired music video makers to develop the industry.

This category is for CIB’s most innovative team.

4.“Stage Diving”

Stage diving is the well-known act of leaping from a concert stage onto the crowd below, something that is often done by famous rock musicians. It is the biggest expression of support and trust between the performer and the fans. The “Stage Diving” category is for the team that has achieved an impressive level of trust with a client, internal or external.

5.“Happy Together: No Ties!”

This category was announced earlier, and we continue to receive nominations for it. You still have a chance to nominate your team (see the message from Internal Communications dated May 13). The prize for this category will go to the most diverse team, which works together and also gets together outside the office for common activities.

Attention! To nominate your team, please send the following information to Internal Communications by June 16:

Name of the category that you are nominating the team for

Reason why your team should win

Names and (high quality) photos of the team members

*Except the category “Happy Together: No Ties!”, which will be decided by an employee vote.
