CipherCraft: Hidden Codes

This educational app immerses users in the world of classical cryptography—an era when secret messages were transmitted using intricate symbols, tables, and hidden rules. The app transforms learning ciphers into an interactive exploration: here, you can not only read about old encoding methods but also immediately put them into practice.

Each section is dedicated to a well-known method of text encryption. The user gradually learns the history of these methods, discovers where and why they were used, and then tries to encrypt their own messages. The interface is designed to make the learning process feel like a game with secrets and codes.

Encryption Methods Screen

The main screen presents four classic encryption methods:

Pigpen Cipher
A symbolic cipher based on geometric shapes and a grid. Each letter is transformed into a symbol of lines and dots, reminiscent of the mysterious alphabet of secret societies.

Napoleon's Code
A coding method connected to the history of military ciphers and secret messages from the era of strategy and diplomacy.

Polybius Square
An ancient coding system in which letters are replaced by coordinates in a square grid. One of the most understandable and elegant ways to transform text into a numerical sequence.

Atbash Cipher
A classic mirror cipher: the alphabet is reversed, and each letter is replaced by its opposite. Simple in mechanics, yet surprisingly effective.

Clicking on any method opens a detailed section with theory and practice.

Method Description

In each section, the user will find:

a brief history of the cipher's origins

an explanation of its operating principle

visual examples of coding

a demonstration of how the same text appears encrypted

This helps not only memorize the algorithm, but also understand the logic behind the system.

Practice Zone

The interactive practice zone allows you to immediately apply the learned method.

The user can:

enter text manually

recognize text using the camera (OCR)

take a photo of the text and use it as a source for manual entry

encrypt the message using the selected method

decrypt the resulting code

Practice is instantaneous: the entered text is immediately converted into code or back into a regular message. This makes learning quick and visual.

Cipher Archive

All created encryptions are automatically saved in the archive.

Each entry is formatted as a card, which stores:

original text

encryption method used

encrypted result

Cards can be:

opened for viewing

copied text

deleted from the archive

This way, the user can create their own collection of secret messages.
