About Classroom Competition
Classroom Competition is a tool for teachers to facilitate competitive round-robin style games in the classroom.
Features:
- Create multiple classes, each with a unique set of students. Each class can have an unlimited number of students.
- Generate matches with your choice of group size. Assign point values based on individual performance in the game versus the other students in their group.
- After numerous "random" rounds, where students are grouped randomly, you can choose to start a "Championship" round, where the players are grouped by score. Top scoring students in previous rounds are grouped with other top scoring students
- Easily reset all student scores to start over.
- Random rounds can be regenerated if the random groups are undesirable
- Students can be excluded from a round (if they are absent, for example) and will not be included in a group.
- All of this data is persisted between app launches so these competitions can take place over multiple days.
How groups sizes are chosen:
If there are not enough students to complete a full group, students will be grouped such that the groups will not exceed the maximum group size, but will have no less than n-1 students. For example, if there are 10 students in groups of 4, there would be 1 group of 4, and 2 groups of 3.
