About Coach on the Go

Welcome to this app – Coaching on the Go! Here you will find hundreds of coaching questions that you can have with you - on the go.

Effective questioning is an essential element of every consultation. One must elicit the purpose of the client’s visit and determine his or her desired outcomes. The ability to pose effective coaching questions is imperative in professional practice. The coach’s ability to assist the client in identifying contexts, beliefs, values, cause-effect relationships and goals, as well as generate successful strategies and solutions, is of key importance in the work of a coach. Effective coaching questions lie close to the core of effective coaching.

Effective questioning can include techniques that will help a person come up with the answers they are looking for. The answers resulting from effective questioning can provide immeasurable, fundamental benefits, both personally and professionally, for the client. The benefits of refining and heightening effective questioning skills can be powerful – and indeed, profound – in promoting healing, health and well-being.

The greater part of a coaching session is typically dedicated to the coach posing questions; the client provides the answers, which, in turn, are clarified, reflected upon and summarised. Active listening and calibration skills are very important on the part of the spiritual coach. The first rule in asking effective coaching questions is to remember that the session belongs to the client; so, as a spiritual coach, one will be asking questions for the benefit of the client. Adopting a mindset of curiosity helps the client search for possible solutions and eventually arrive at the ideal solution(s). The coach should refrain from installing questions; rather, he or she should strive to pose powerful questions designed to empower the client.
