About Collaborative Pianist Rates
The founder and inventor of Findbach, Lucas Wong, has finally implemented an iOS version of Collaborative Pianist Rates for iPhones and iPads, with updated formulas from the web version, due to popular demand!
Collaborative Pianist Rates (Collab Rates) assists pianists in coming up with reasonable and consistent rates for their freelance work.
As you change any parameter, such as engagement type, length, extra practice time, traveling time, impression of the gig, and ranking in your field, the app would do the calculation for you instantly.
Of course there is no one size that fits all. Therefore, the sliders would help you fine tune your fee closer to the "norm" and expectation around you. The current iOS edition of Collab Rates makes estimates in USD.
Please don't do this while driving or playing the piano. Also, by all means, respect your local unions. Refer to union rates for unionized jobs. Stay tuned for future updates.
Specifications:
Engagement types are alphabetically listed from Audition, Benefit Concert, Birthday Party, Coaching, Competition, Examination, Film Shoot, Lesson, Memorial, Performance, Recording, Rehearsal, to Wedding.
Engagement length, Extra Practice Time, and Traveling Time options range from 0 minute to 12 hours and 55 minutes
Rate the gig ranges from Very Good, Good, Average, Not Bad, to Not Great.
Rate the people ranges from Very Nice, Nice, Average, Not Nice, to Abusive.
Rate the music ranges from Very Easy, Easy, Average, Somewhat Difficult, to Very Difficult.
Rate yourself ranges from Top 1% to 50%.
