About Colonial Flag App

This mobile app provides details on proper flag etiquette and suggested dates to fly the flag. Status and instructions on flying the flag at half staff are also provided. Other useful resources will enhance your flag experience.

Notification Improvements
• Notifications will now be sent out the day before flag holidays and half-staff alerts (when possible)
• The App Icon now displays a badge number for new notifications to ensure that you don't miss them
• Proper multi-day alert support
• Date (or date range) of the alert is now shown in the notification
• App now displays a warning if notification permissions are denied, directs user to the Settings app if the denial was accidental
• Fixed reliability issue where notifications would sometimes not get sent out properly
Flag Status
• Flag Status card now shows when it was last updated, so you can be sure that you're up-to-date
• Added refresh button to the Flag Status card which replaces the less obvious pull-to-refresh mechanism
• Multi-day alerts now show as a single alert with a date range
About Flags
• Resources section renamed to "About Flags"
• Content updated and improved
Location
• Location usage changed from "Always" to "When In Use"
• App now displays a warning if location permissions are denied, directs user to the Settings app if the denial was accidental
• Improved the State-related parts of the Settings screen to be slightly more helpful, especially if there's a problem getting your location
