Upon reflection (see what I did there) you'll see lots of people using the front-facing camera on their phone as a mirror. That's cool but...
• There's no zoom on the front-facing camera. You have to hold it really close to your face when checking your hair, applying makeup, plucking hairs or squeezing zits.
• When holding the phone close, small movements make the image jerky and the focus is constantly adjusting. That's so annoying when trying to remind yourself how ridiculously good looking you are!
• When you're in a dimly lit elevator on your way up to a job interview, there often isn't enough light to see if you have spinach in your teeth.
The Mirror app solves these problems. It's a mirror-cle! The front facing camera opens by default, it's zoomed in 2x, and there's a 'light' mode for use in the dark. Light mode turns up the screen brightness and places a white bar under the camera to provide light ... kinda like a flash.
And for all you vampires out there, the Mirror app uses the camera so you'll be able to see your reflection!
When I came up with the idea for this app I thought, "This is really something I could see myself building!" I hope you like it. For more information visit www.mirror.camera.
