About CTV News Edmonton Weather
Everything you love about the CTV Edmonton weather app has now been enhanced. The app now has a fresh/bold look and a one-handed scrolling feature to make it even easier to use.
CTV Edmonton’s weather app is powered by meteorologists Josh Classen and Cory Edel who finesse and fine-tune the weather updates to give you the latest conditions and most accurate forecasts.
If you’re traveling on the road, you can set the app to follow you and provide fast and accurate weather forecasts no matter where you are or where you’re headed. Plus, you can even customize the app to provide extreme weather audio alerts even when your phone isn’t open (features you can customize in settings).
The app also integrates the latest news stories and videos from CTV Edmonton, as well as live traffic conditions to help you navigate your way to or from work.

Location Management
*Press location in top bar to change, edit and add locations
*In the left menu for changing locations, press the 3 dots next to the location to edit location settings and make a location capable of receiving push notifications.

Overhaul of Location and Alert Management
- Ability to select multiple Push Notification Locations (Settings>Edit Locations>Press the Bell)
- Press on any location in Edit Location to rename the location (Home, Work, etc) and move the map to PinPoint the location to the specific address to get the most accurate currents, forecast and alerts
New Alert Management
- Toggle on/off individual weather alert types (Tornado Warning, Flood Warning, etc) in Settings>Weather Alert Type
- Number Badge next to the Location Name showing the total number of active Alerts
- Number Badge on App Icon showing the total number of active weather alerts

This release of the CTV Edmonton Weather app not only updates the look, but also adds additional functionality to give you the most complete local weather forecast when and where it matters to you.
