Summer's here and we've cleaned up a lot. We've studied your crash reports and made improvements in many places. The new version of the directBOX app is now much more stable. By the way, we have built a completely new contact module for you. With it you can now manage your directBOX contacts intuitively and easily.

We have improved the following things for you:

- Switch more fluidly between files in the cloud
- Improved behavior when opening PDFs in the cloud
- Stability improvements overall, especially with the new iPadOS

Autumn has arrived, the leaves are falling and our last app update is already 4 weeks old. But at this time of year we are always very productive. That's why this update will bring a hundred big and small improvements. We have worked on the following things:

New Features:
- The settings module can now be reached directly from the home page.
- With our new toolbar you can now sort your entries more easily in the cloud module and change the layout between tile and list view.
- We also changed the sorting order of notes: Now the newest notes are displayed first.
- If you restart the app, you can now specify in the settings which module you want to start with. This way you can specify that you want to see the inbox directly without any detours.
- In the weather module we now show the location you configured.

Corrections and improvements:
- We've made some visual improvements in dark mode. In some menus it still flashed white.
- There was a bug when creating a note inside an empty folder. The first note could not be created within the app. Now you can.
- Another bug occurred when uploading multiple files to the cloud. This didn't work under iOS13 anymore.
- We could not send e-mails with attached videos. These can now be attached.

Hello, folks! Today's directBOX update is all about Apple's wonderful iOS 13 update. directBOX is now ready for a lot of new features:

- Continuous support of the new iOS13 "Dark Mode".
- Improved document support, which makes it even easier to open and import documents in directBOX.

Autumn is our favorite time of year again: ist’s iOS Update season! We here at mediaBEAM followed the Apple event last week enthusiastically. Apple presented news about new iPhone models, an updated iPad, a brand new Apple Watch and much more. In June we were already able to "inhale" the many fantastic improvements at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Since then, we've been working on a new directBOX app version, which we'd like to introduce to you here.

In addition to these important new functions, this update also provides you with a good collection of improvements and bug fixes. We hope that you love this update as much as we do.

This version fixes the following bugs:

Cloud
- The app crashes when creating a cloud folder
- If I want to create a subfolder from a cloud folder, the path is set to root. The preselection should be the current folder
- When HEIC images are uploaded, the image is not converted from HEIC to PNG.
- Sometimes not all images I want to upload are included in the collection and only the first image is uploaded. If I want to upload some more photos again, all of a sudden the pictures from the previous upload will be uploaded.
- If a folder contains 3 subfolders and only one image/document, the view shows "4 of 4". Correct would be "1 of 1".
- When I wipe on video at "create a foto or video", the app crashes.
- When selecting "upload file" I am referred to the camera roll of my device. Should be renamed to "Upload picture/video".

Incoming/outgoing mail
- If I give a folder a name with included emoticons, the app crashes.

Notes
- if I want to write a new note, I can wipe right to those I have already created. However, if I now wipe back to the left, the app crashes.

We have enhanced the push notification feature. Now you can be notified not only of new e-mails, but also when a colleague has uploaded a new or changed file in your cloud storage. The new item opens directly in your mailbox or cloud store, if you tap the notification button.

Our new offline functionality for cloud files increases your flexibility on the go. Now you can mark files as "available offline", which will be automatically downloaded to all of your devices. So they are also available if your device doesn't have network coverage.
