People who join Dive Chat without a group sometimes wouldn’t know that they can create Dive Groups of their own. To help out, we’ve created a new Dive Group for each new person who joins the app. Complete with chats and content customized to them!
→ Chat Help!
We’ve added new explainers every time a chat is created inside a Dive Group. That way your group members won’t ever be confused about the difference between a public, private, or announcement chat.
→ Other Improvements!
• New: When profile pictures are loading anywhere inside the app, there’s new ghost states that indicate such.
• Improved: We’ve changed the way that event covers animate so that they appear sharper, load quicker, and use less memory.
• Fixed: Occasionally, when signing up for Dive Chat the phone verification code wouldn’t auto-fill properly.

• If you hosted an event and then later changed your profile image, sometimes your profile image wouldn’t update on the event.

→ Event host message blast!
Want to communicate something with your event’s attendees? Tap on the “Blast” button at the bottom of your event to send a message blast! Everyone with Dive Chat will get a notification and people who don’t have the app yet will get a text message so that nobody misses your message.
→ Gallery in DMs!
When you’re DM-ing someone, you can now access the gallery which keeps all your photos, videos, polls, and links from that person together in one spot. Tap on their name at the top of the DM to check it out!
→ Other Improvements
• New: If you encounter an error, a new screen will appear that lets you return to the previous page instead of needing to restart the app.
• Improved: We’ve added more loading indicators throughout the app so that you know when to blame Cricket Wireless for the app not loading.
• Improved: You can now delete the DM from our CEO.
• Fixed: When sending a message, the app wouldn’t accept an autocorrect suggestion if it was on the last word.
• Fixed: Occasionally, the number of event invites you have wouldn’t update as you RSVP’ed to them.

From head to toe, events look all-new. We’ve made it easier to find the details you’re looking for, RSVP to an event, share it with others, and see who’s going.
→ View Events without the App!
Non-Dive Chat users can access and RSVP to events on the web! All they need is the link to see details, RSVP themselves, request access to closed events, and see other people’s RSVPs. They’ll also get text updates and reminders about the event, no downloads required.
→ See who muted the chat
Open the members list of any chat to see who has it muted. If you see a bell with a slash icon next to someone’s name, they aren’t receiving notifications for that chat!
→ Last Seen Statuses
When your Last Seen Status is on, people in your contacts and anyone you interact with will see when you were last active or currently active on Dive Chat. You can turn your Last Seen Status on or off at any time in Settings.
→ Make Moments Happen
At Dive Chat, we believe deeply in our mission of helping you make moments happen OFF your phone. To make sure we don’t forget, we’ve added this mantra to the splash screen of the app.

• New: See when the host changes the details of an event in “The Feed” of an event.
• New: A badge now indicates if an event is open, meaning anyone can attend, or closed, meaning the host must approve of someone before they’re added to the guest list.
