Distracted driving is dangerous and using a cellphone while driving can be deadly! Down For The Count was created to reduce the temptation to use your phone while driving.

Down For The Count rewards you with gift cards and exclusive coupons for NOT using your phone while driving. Gift cards are purchased by sponsors (typically a parent or a family member) and earned with 5, 10, or 25 hours of cellphone-free driving.

Down For The Count is simple to use, open the app and click START to begin your trip. You earn credit for not using your phone while driving, even if you are a passenger! If you answer an incoming text, call, or exit the app for any reason once you've started a trip, no credit is earned for that trip.

Down For the Count uses GPS to know when you are driving and to determine if you have driven through any DFTC Zones during your trip. DFTC Zones are places where distracted driving is especially dangerous such as schools, hospitals, and malls. Drive through these areas without using your phone and earn bonus time for each DFTC Zone you have safely navigated.

We only use your GPS after you open the app and click START. GPS usage continues until you click STOP. GPS usage has been shown to dramatically decrease battery life.
