About EARS Mobile Sensing

The Effortless Assessment Research System (EARS) is a behavioral research tool developed by Ksana Health. EARS is intended to be used by individuals who have consented to participate in one of EARS' ongoing research studies.

Mobile devices have 
a lot to say about behavioral health. Giving behavioral health researchers access to your digital information helps them study patterns in behavior. Information gathered can be used to better support mental and behavioral health and can help solve mental health challenges.

Ksana Health builds digital research tools with a focus to improve mental health, especially amongst underserved group and young people.

Ksana keeps your digital data safe and does not sell it to anyone or use it to target you with advertising.

Our Ethics Committee ensures that:

EARS was selected as part of The Opportunity Project, an initiative focused on using open data to improve the lives of American citizens.

In this update, we are happy to introduce the new and improved EARS Keyboard!

New keyboard features include:
- Predictive text and improved auto-corrections.
- Keyboard track-pad mode to easily move the position of your text cursor when long-pressing the space bar.
- A dedicated keyboard settings page to toggle keyboard features. The settings page can be found on the EARS home screen after setup.
- The ability to change the EARS keyboard's default language with options for English, Spanish, and German.
- The EARS keyboard now indicates when Allow Full Access is disabled.
- Updated emojis.
- Overall improvements to performance, usability, and design.

Bug fixes:
- Resolved a bug that sometimes caused randomized surveys on odd parity intervals to not schedule properly for the first day of installation.
- Resolved a bug that cut-off the last two digits of some study codes when pasting a code directly into the study code entry text field.
- Resolved a bug where some German localized survey questions were unexpectedly resolving to the English language.
