On this occasion, we've made some changes to improve the overall user experience – including bug fixes and the integration of a new analytics tool called Firebase, which allows us to anonymously track how the app is being used.
For more information on Firebase and how we use it, please go into the app’s menu and select ‘Privacy Policy’.

We’ve migrated the Empire app onto a new software that’s easier to use, faster to download, takes up less storage on your device and is more stable.
Because it’s a new software, you’ll need to install it to keep getting your issues of Empire moving forwards.
On installation, it may look like you have lost access to all previously purchased issues. You haven’t. Simply follow these instructions to get them back:
- If you are an iTunes customer, go into the app’s menu and tap ‘Restore purchases’ – this will get you access to your downloads again
- If you are a Great Magazines customer, you’ll need to login again with your existing email and password combination
You may have to download your issues again.
If you have any problems at all with the update, please email digitalmagazinesupport@bauermedia.co.uk and we will strive to help you as quickly as we can.
