- Shared links! You can now create web links to quickly share one or more items from your account. Just tap on the Share button, select some stuff, and tap “Get link.” You can paste these links anywhere and anyone with the link can access the stuff you selected.

*Did you know that you can tap on the headers in Photos & Videos, Music, and Documents to zoom in and out? It’s a great way to quickly navigate if you have a lot of stuff. * The Flow used to say that you were adding ‘photos’ even when you were adding videos. This was confusing because videos take much longer to add than photos do. Now the Flow distinguishes between ‘photos’ and ‘videos’ properly, so you know what’s going on.

* Did you know that you can edit the name of a file directly when viewing metadata? You used to get stuck in a bad place if you accidentally cleared the name, but it’s all good now.
* Did you know that tapping on the tab icon will scroll you back to the top if you weren’t there already? This broke in a previous release, but now it’s back!
* The app used to sometimes crash when trying to upload thousands of photos and videos at once. We made some tweaks to hopefully avoid this.
* There was some weirdness when you switched from viewing one PDF to viewing another. Now, you should see the PDF that you tapped on. Make sense!

* The app is now available in most of Europe, so tell your friends and try sharing your favorite photos and videos with them!
* Upthere always tries to minimize the number of duplicates in your account. When you’ve tried to add stuff already in your account, we’ve always de-duplicated it. Now, we’ll helpfully tell you when this happens.
* The text when sharing a public Loop via Messages or Mail used to repeat the URL twice twice. That was unnecessary, so now it the link just appears once. Once.
* Sometimes when you were offline, you could get stuck when viewing metadata details. Now you’ll be able to exit back out and continue using the app offline.
* When you edit a document name, you’ll now see your new name in the Documents view. Don’t worry, the edits always worked — we were just showing the wrong name.

* You can now see more progress information about the stuff you’re adding to your account. Particularly fun: seeing the progress of additions coming from other devices!
* We fixed a bug that would randomly sign you out of the app. This was super frustrating and made adding stuff to your account difficult. Sorry about that!
* We made some tweaks, so files you manually import will be prioritized over the ongoing, import of your Camera Roll.

- Upthere is the best way to share personal content with your friends and family. Today it gets even better with comments! Now you can praise, poke fun of, or pander to your heart’s desire.

- You can now remove other people from shared Loops. Just swipe left on their name in the details view. When you remove other people, everything they have shared will be removed as well! Please use responsibly.

- We take security seriously at Upthere and encourage everyone to use strong passwords with password managers. You can now access 1Password directly from the sign-in screen instead of copy-pasting your randomized, super-secure, unique Upthere password.

- If you use other cloud services on your device, you can now import stuff from them. Just tap on “Import” from the the drop-down menu anywhere.
As always, we’re constantly tweaking and improving things. This is the shiniest, stable-est, snappiest version of Upthere Home yet!

– We’ve made search even faster by adding support for more metadata types, including searching for camera model and document type.

– When you zoom in on a photo, we now fetch the full resolution original, so you can inspect minute details on the go.

– You can now selectively import photos and videos from your phone directly into a Loop. This will immediately share the files if you are importing into a Shared Loop

Fixes:

– In the real world, network connections are kind of flaky. These conditions would sometimes cause the app to crash when you were trying to import stuff. We fixed that, so you can use the app in the real world.

– We slipped in some spring cleaning, just in time for the summer! We cleaned up some code to decrease memory use, app size, and network usage.

– Duplicates clutter your account. We don't like clutter. We improved our ability to filter out duplicates by adding some server-side functionality.

Note:

We’ve noticed that edits you make do not always immediately appear in all parts of the app. We’ve identified the problem and will release another update shortly with a fix. In the meantime, signing out and back in will fix the problem.
