About FieldDirect – Trucker
Roger’s FieldDirect mobile trucker application provides real-time data and information shares that support trucker’s needs including; load logistics, route planning, coordination with dispatch, load assignments, freight invoicing for quick payment, route/map and other related shipment (load) progress, statuses and other communication needs.
Below are some of the features that you should be aware of before installing and using this application.
Shipments: Once you are part of FieldDirect, your shipper will assign you recurring or one-time shipments to haul grain from our producers’ farm fields during harvest. In order to provide you a better experience, we use device location data with your consent.
Invoice: The app will allow you to invoice your shipper for all completed shipments.
Real Time Navigation: By providing your consent to monitor your device’s location data when the application is running in foreground or background (which may dramatically reduce battery life), the app will offer you route navigation capabilities to complete your shipments between a farm field and elevator. The app will provide turn by turn direction.
Data Privacy: We do not share your location data with outside parties. Apart from an active load, the shipper restricts location monitoring to our business hours. Killing the application will end any location monitoring. Logging out of the application also eliminates location monitoring and deletes the devices local data storage. This application does not include any ads.
Background Data Sync: The app will sync all your data in the cloud with strong encryption and restores the data to the device you are logged into. The app will sync your data in the background without disturbing your user experience.
Background Monitoring: Once the app starts, it runs quietly in the background. It will be stopped once the app is killed or you log out of the application. It also stops when there are no shipments after business hours.
Monitoring Multiple Devices: We only monitor your current device and clear your location data from your previous logged in devices.
No Internet Connection: The app will store all your information in your devices local storage with strong encryption and allows continuous use of the application to complete basic tasks.

Improved speed of the application, especially if you have a number of loads
The bill of lading and scale ticket images for loads that have been invoiced can be download from the load view, but are no longer stored on your device. This frees up space.

This is a maintenance release. A defect that allowed Farm Load data to be lost under certain conditions was fixed. A few freezes were eliminated. The application is faster as additional data operations are handled in the background.

The application is more flexible and loads can now be routed to any destination, not just a Scoular elevator. It can handle pick up from any origin, including farm fields and elevators. An origin scale ticket image can now be taken and origin bushels added when applicable. The language has changed as well to support flexibility. Farmers are now referred to as customers. Customers are set up as either origin customers, destination customers or both.

When first loading trips, it shows images are still downloading and gives users the ability to download a image immediately.

1.Prevent taking pictures of a BOL or Scale Ticket for a load that hasn’t arrived at the farm field
2.Avoid adding more bushels to the Gross Bushels field than is reasonable
3.Alert forgetting to take pictures of the BOL and Scale Ticket after arriving at the elevator
4.Alert you if a farm field has changed
We also added a button on the directions that enables users to open directions in Google Maps™ so they have turn-by-turn voice navigation available
