The latest Firefly for Teachers contains our most recent updates for the Firefly markbook. A new set of traffic light colour coding has been added to the markbook making it even easier for teachers to identify patterns and changes in a student's grades. Teachers can now spot at a glance where students are excelling and ready for extension work, or those students that are struggling and might need further support.

To save teachers time and provide them with better insights into their students, we have released our latest update to the Firefly markbook. This new version of the markbook gives teachers greater visibility of their class' homework. Selecting an entry in the markbook allows teachers to view all of the activity associated with that assignment; see the original task set alongside a student’s homework and the teacher's feedback and comments. The new Firefly markbook means it's now even easier for teachers to track their students' assignments with a single click.

We know that teachers often get work and marking done on the go, so we've made this easier than ever by extending the Firefly for Teachers app to iPhones as well as iPads. You can now set tasks, mark and give feedback and annotate assignments straight from your mobile device. Due to space restraints, we recommend viewing the markbook either on an iPad or on the web.

- Teachers can add co-owners when setting a task. These co-owners can edit, copy, view and mark the shared task, which can help teachers collaborate across classes or departments.
- When creating success criteria for a task, teachers can now add levels to the criteria. These levels can help teachers clarify different types of achievement and guide students when they complete their assignments. When marking, teachers can select the appropriate level for each criterion to measure the student's level of achievement.
- To prevent confusion, teachers can no longer set the 'Mark Out Of' field to zero (0) when setting a task.
