I used to love playing Flick Fishing and since that went down I discovered that you guys made this!! Excellent game and so much fun! The difficulty makes it extremely fun and addictive. Keep the fish comin!!!!

There's a long standing exploit that's been in since the original game where you can 'tap/flick' the reel quickly to slowly reel in a fish without risking snapping the line. We've left it alone for years simply because it's not really worried most players and we're not sure how many people ever used it.
Having had a couple of people mention it in the last week though, I thought, hey, why not see how players get on when I tune it out.
So essentially, the line tension and length now have a little bit of elasticity on them. In all but Easy difficulty, if you just tap the reel, there'll be a short lag before the line tension goes down. Likewise, just tapping the reel won't reel the fish in at all, you need to actually be reeling.
To balance this, I've adjusted it so you can reel fish in a little faster now (and tired fish will reel in even quicker).
If you preferred the old system, switching to Easy difficulty will bypass it and just use the old rules :)

Just a quick point update to try out the new "Easy" difficulty option.
This new setting is for those of you who don't have a lot of time to play or are struggling with some of the larger fish. The fish you catch in easy mode won't be quite as big, but they'll be a fair bit easier to land and beating the computer player should be a lot easier :)

We've decided to stop mucking about and use the game's proper name :) Fish! is now Flick Fishing.
New Custom Rod system and Legendary Fish. Catch a Legendary fish to get your first custom rod and catch more to collect gems to modify it!
A new location to unlock and fish in and 2 more fish to try and catch in it!
Tilt left/right to look around a bit and cast in different directions.

Now with Apple Watch app! While fishing on your iPhone, pick bait and gizmos from your Apple Watch and get info on all the fish in your area (including what distance to cast and what bait they like!)
And when you've only got a few moments spare and want to fish, you can even fish in a unique fishing spot on your Apple Watch!

We're actively tuning and fixing Fish! to make it as much fun as possible!
The 1.02 update adds Bragging on Twitter and Facebook! Let your friends know when you've caught a huge fish!
Rod casting system and reel tuned to be more responsive.

You can now slide and rotate your view horizontally to cast in different directions (and admire the scenery ;) )
Fixed a bunch of annoying bugs including the rod info in the tackle box selector being for the wrong rods, the named fish showing way too large, fish overlaying in the aquarium and stars for big fish not being awarded after deleting and re-downloading the game.
