Jenni picked her friend up hugged her tightly. “Better be careful. I know a mermaid when I hear one. They can make anyone do their bidding.”

“What was that?!” she yelped. “It better not be a dinosaur. I’ve had it up to HERE with dinosaurs!” Trix stretched her paw as high as she could.
Jenni laughed. “Relax, my fuzzy friend. Look!” She took Trix’s head and turned it skyward toward the owner of the screech. “It IS technically a dinosaur, but a really cute and harmless one!”
Above them flew a cute and petite winged dinosaur. Soaring and then landing on a branch to peck at its wings, it was no bigger than the birds it perched next to.

The bushes beside Jenni and Trix rustled as they ventured into the thick jungle. The duo took a pause to listen as the rustling intensified.
“We should get out of here,” Jenni whispered to Trix as she grabbed her furry companion and turned around to jolt. “There is definitely something large and scary coming.”
Suddenly, a huge orange face with a dopey smile and innocent eyes popped out of the brush.
“Awwwoooo??” it cooed.
Trix’s heart instantly melted.
“It’s… so… CUTE!” the fox yelped, running out of Jenni’s arms, ready to jump and give the huge creature a hug. Jenni grabbed onto Trix’s tail and yanked back.

In the distance, a fish poked its head out of the water and blinked three googly eyes at the adventurous pair.

Trix ran up to the fish and looked it straight in its eyes.

The fish stared at Trix, then yawned, showing rows of jagged, razor sharp teeth. Trix yelped and quickly ran behind Jenni.

The calm water before Jenni and Trix rippled as a sharp object began to rise from the waves. Trix immediately jumped in Jenni’s arms.
“Whatever that is, it’s pointy and scary and I’ve had enough with scary monsters!” Trix shuddered.
Jenni chuckled and put her friend on her shoulder, trying to calm the scared fox’s nerves.
“That’s no monster! It’s a family of narwhal! They are as friendly as friendly can be! Maybe they even know where we the next treasure cave is so we can beat the bandits there!”
Trix immediately relaxed and jumped down to meet the aquatic creatures face to face. The narwhal seemed to nod its head and jump off, swimming into the distance.
“Looks like it wants us to follow,” Trix said. “Let’s go!”

Chapter 200 - "Suspicious Feline"
Jenni and Trix strolled along the dirt path, finally on solid ground after what seemed like an eternity dodging vicious traps and teetering off cliff edges.
“I could really get used to this,” Trix sighed, taking in a deep breath of fresh air.
Suddenly a bush rustled ahead, causing the pair to duck behind a tree, waiting to see what nefarious creature emerged.
“I knew it,” muttered Trix. “The peaceful times never last!”
Jenni looked down at hushed her furry friend. “Quiet down,” she whispered. “We don’t know what we’re dealing with yet.”
They looked on as the bush rustled faster and faster. Suddenly out popped an aloof cat, peeking around, and then ducking back into the shrub as quickly as it had appeared.
“Well, the was pretty anticlimactic,” Jenni chuckled. “At least it wasn’t an ogre or evil serpent or something like that.”
“Did you see that thing?!” Trix scowled. “It was obviously up to no good. We should keep an eye out.”

Chapter 196 - "Eccentric Railways"
As Jenni and Trix continued down the path before them, the green shrubbery began to fade to a dusty brown and the temperature began to rise. Soon enough, the pair found themselves in the middle of a full on desert.
“I knew those vibrant pastures and idyllic weather wasn’t going to last long,” muttered Trix. “We need to get out of this place ASAP! I would rather be in a snowstorm than the middle of a heatwave!”
“It’s your lucky day then,” Jenni said as she pointed ahead of them. “Looks like we can catch a ride on that railway just ahead.”
Trix excitedly ran forward, eager to sit and rest while riding a cart along a quiet railway. But as the tracks came into focus, it was clear it would be anything but a relaxing ride.
“These rickity tracks are suspended above what looks like a bottomless pit! AND they twist and turn like a swing dancing snake! No way I’m getting on there!” cried Trix.
Jenni sighed and scooped up her furry friend, hopping onto the precarious rails. “Well, it’s the only way forward, so you’re just going to have to shut your eyes and hang on!”

Chapter 176 - "Under the Bridge"
An hour had past and our duo had only one egg left to find. But no matter where they looked along the path, they simply could not find the final one.
"It's not inside this bush!" yelled Jenni.
"It's not under these rocks either," replied Trix from a few yards away.
Time was running out and unless a miracle occurred, it looks like winning the egg hunting contest was out of reach. Then, after scouring the entire park, they realized there was one single spot they had not yet searched: under the bridge.

"It's not inside this bush!" yelled Jenni.
"It's not under these rocks either," replied Trix from a few yards away.
Time was running out and unless a miracle occurred, it looks like winning the egg hunting contest was out of reach. Then, after scouring the entire park, they realized there was one single spot they had not yet searched: under the bridge.

As the pair pondered their predicament, a large shadow loomed over the cliff edge. Squinting, Jenni could just make out what it was.

The pair continued to move along the river, hopping from one lily to the next. Soon, the far river bank was within reach and it seemed like this part of their journey would be over.
"Oh thank goodness, I cannot wait to reach dry land!" sighed Trix with eyes closed. "The soft sand under my paws under the shady trees... Just a few more lillies to jump, and then those big ominous shadows below the water, and we're home free!"

"If I was in charge of all that treasure, I would be cautious too," said Jenni wisely. "Especially with all these bandits running around."

"I don't think they would like us anyway," murmured Trix, taking a measured jump across the murky waters. "With all the chasing we've done on our adventures, we are too lean to be tasty to those creatures."
But Trix had spoken too soon, and as the words left Trix's mouth, a scaly green monster leapt out of the river and tried to take a bite. Luckily Trix, being a nimble fox, quickly dodged out of the way.
"Too slow!" Trix teased the crocodile as it swam away. But Trix's laughter quickly stopped as the pair saw many large shadows gliding through the waters towards them.

Jenni grabbed her friend and hid behind the closest boulder. Just ahead, a mountain of gold and jewels laid bare, seemingly unattended. Trix struggled free of Jenni's grasp. "We did it! We made it to the treasure before those bandits!" the fox exclaimed.
Jenni shook her head and pointed at a crater near the treasure pile. Looking closely, Trix finally saw what she was referring to. Inside, the top of a large, alien creature could be seen. No doubt it was a trap, waiting to spring upon anyone who came near. And soon enough, a group of bandits wandered close, unaware of the danger they were in. Jenni smirked and mumbled under her breath.
"This is gonna be good," she chuckled.
Just as the bandits took their bags out and began filling them, the monster leapt from its hiding place, causing them to scream and run for their lives. Soon, several more creatures came out and chased all the bandits away.
"Serves them right," Trix said. "Now... can we get out of here and back on our own planet?"
