Get.Moving Description
Get Moving is the fitness app for the rest of us. It’s not about getting fit and timing how fast you are. It’s simply about getting off your chair and walking around.

Medical evidence seems to imply that sitting still for hours at a time is really bad for your health. Get Moving will let you know if you’ve been sitting still for more than an hour.

If you get up and walk around for a few minutes the notification will go away, and the app will start counting again. And you should feel much better about yourself.

Of course you can set it to turn off at night so it won’t keep you awake. But during the day we really recommend responding every time it reminds you to move around. You can leave the app running in the background and it will remind you whenever it’s time to get moving. It will also update its badge every minute to show you how long it is since you moved around.

In the foreground you can also see a chart of your activity for the last couple of hours or for the last couple of days.

Get the app. Get moving.
Get.Moving 2.5 Update

Turns out we had a bug, (kinda).
If you set the app to notify you, but not before 10am and not after 1am. It thought you meant the same day and never notified you.
Now it realises the 1am is tomorrow morning and gets it all right.

Thanks to the user who helped us work out what the issue was. Appreciated.

We fixed a bug where you could get a reminder at your "not after this time" limit in the evening.
Even if you had been moving around in the last hour.

We updated notifications for iOS 11. Because we can't be sure how often the OS will give us time in the background, (sometimes it's more than an hour before we get a turn), we made a big change to how the app works... We used to schedule the warning and then cancel it if we got some background time and detected that you have been active. But sometimes that meant you still got the warning even though you had been active, (because we never got any background time at all). So now we only check when (if) we get background time. So there shouldn't be any more cases where we warn you even though you have been active. But now we won't remind you exactly on 60 minutes, we will remind you the first time we get a chance to run in the background and we find that you haven't been moving around. We hope that works for you. We've been using it like this and it's working for us. We also did some updates for iOS11, and we now use way less power in the background. So you should be able to leave Get Moving running all the time without significant impact on your battery life.
