English language competency is needed not only todo well in English as a subject and in general communication, but also in othersubjects taught in English at school, such as Mathematics, Sciences and SocialSciences. In an English medium school environment, majority of the inputs that astudent receives is from the teacher in the classroom or from text books, both ofwhich are in English. We need to ensure that students hone their Englishlanguage skills to be able to comprehend complete and accurate meaning of newterminology.
