Exciting news! Go Jauntly now includes audio-enhanced walking guides created in partnership with Liz Earle Beauty Co and narrated by ethnobotanist, tv presenter and gardener, James Wong. These walks have been designed to help UK city dwellers explore the great outdoors, connect with nature and help to keep you happier and healthier. Yay!
James Wong said: "Along with the physical benefits of taking a walk outdoors, there are important psychological benefits from being in nature such as relieving stress and anxiety as well as boosting mood, all whilst improving overall wellbeing" so get out and about and enjoying nature quick stat! Check out the brand new walking trails in-app now.
Aside from audio narrated routes, other new features include...

We are getting the app ready for some extra special brand new walking guides coming to Go Jauntly real soon. Yay! In this new version you can also...
- Search for walks by walk name
- View walks by distance (sorry it took us so long!)
- See an overview of the walking route on map view to help you decide which of the walks you should go on (all of them)!
- New Search filters such as wildlife and history
- The camera supports zoom and focus whilst you're creating a route out and about now huzzah.
- You can also select points of interest in the walking map (finally!) and don't forget it shows walking paths if you're out and about and going your own way.
- Plus there are various other user experience enhancements and gremlin-fixes along the way.
Remember we don't track your user location on routes thus saving your battery and keeping your privacy! Just saying :)

Wahoo! We’ve got lots of cool new things in this release:
- We’ve integrated Mapbox maps which helps to make navigation and following footpaths a bit easier. We’ve also included a new walking directions service on the walking map.
- We’ve included the Greater London Authority Street Tree data has also been added to the maps so that you can find out the names of some of the trees in London when out and about!
- We’ve enhanced the overall accessibility of the app to make it more inclusive hurrah!
- There are some general pesky bug fixes and user experience enhancements throughout the app
- We also welcoming visitors from the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand who can now download the app and enjoy our UK-wide and Swedish walking routes or make your own routes nearby.
Why not upgrade to access our premium routes and support our cause or share your favourite strolls with outdoor pictures from your phone - make sure location is switched on - upload them and add any extra tidbits that people might find useful or interesting. Whether you’re in your local park, favourite high-street or on an epic trail, here or abroad, share your hidden gems and help get your friends and family walking and enjoying more Happiness Outdoors!
